I heard a comment from a sheriff's officer on one of the local news reports that he would not be charged with any crime since it is not illegal to jump in the area..... ? any clarification on this ?

I realized that I forgot to have someone sign my log book the last time I was at the DZ. I'll need these jumps to prove currency the next time I jump. Will they not count? What should I do ? Can I sign it myself ?

I bought a used conainter and reserve around jump 20 (had to jump on it due to my size) but waited until about 4 jumps ago to buy and start jumping my used Sihlouette. It was frustrating to have a partial rig and still have to rent but it allowed me to downsize in comfort.

I agree with the requirement, was just curious as to who sets it .. It sounds like the DZ hosting the boogie sets the participation requirements. I'm very familiar with the beach in from of Playa Bonita and it will be cross wind landings with drunks running everywhere.. As long as a newbie with less than 100 jumps can lay on the beach drinking Modelos and watch the action I'm cool with it

They do mention a tight landing area with a crowd...

I was planing to wrap up my water training and B license requirements before the SkyDive Arizona Boogie in Mexico next month but just read that they require 100 jumps. A bit disapointed but I respect the number. Is this number set by the DZ holding the boogie or is 100 jumps required to jump over water ? I figured the B license would give you the ability to jump over water. Just curious.

How do you get the 10 landings signed off? Do I need to have an instructor witness all the landings or just note the distance from the target in my log book each time?
