well I got looking online and didn't relize that I could pick up a used G3 from 500-800. so I'm going to do some searching before sending the racer in. I need a M4 or maybe a M5. I'm 5'9 and 135lbs. I've looked everywhere and haven't had much luck.

yeah it was late october. Dusty was teaching me to sit and I was using this racer for the first time. my boc didn't come arrive in time for me to convert it. my jumpsuit has handles and he said it would be hard learning to sit with them on there so I should just jump in my sweatshirt. we were making jump after jump and I was having a girl pack it. she packed the pull out way too tight. I tried to pull and it wouldn't come out...tried it three times then went for my reserve. my sweatshirt flew up and I couldn't find my handle. I totally forgot that I had a cypres and thought I was going to die. I thought even if I pulled I was too low. anyway I finally found it and pulled. don't know how long the ride was...it was quick though I was going downwind and didn't have time to turn around. after I landed I found out that my cypres blew, so I must have been just above 750ft. when I landed I said "I'm never jumping again" by the time Dusty picked me up I said "I'm never jumping that rig again" then got back on the horse and jumped the next day. one heck of an experience. I'm going to go ahead and send it into NightJumper and have him mod it. and I'll get a g3 sometime mid summer.

NightJumper said it would be around $100 for factory updates and a reserve repack. other than that I have no idea how much I'm looking at.

I've looked and can't find anything...I've looked at mirages' webpage and think I need a M4. anywhere else I can look other than this webpage?

a used g3 runs around $1000 right? and I have to find one that will fit a 170 main

I just talked to my local rigger. he has my rig now (otherwise I'd post a pic) because I had a reserve ride on that last jump...cypres blew too which I just got back from ssk. I already have the boc, just not installed yet. he didn't seem too concerned about it and said the racer will be fine. he said I'll need to add tuck tabs and to keep the boc pouch tight and in good shape. but he could do more, but didn't really think it was necessary so far you guys suggested to: 1. Replace the velcro 2. tuck tab riser covers 3. "walrus Teeth" made stronger 4. Ghee flaps installed is there anything else? won't have the money for a g3 until next year and I want to make sure this one is safe as possible in the mean time. thanks a lot

I bought my uncle's old racer off of him. I hate the container, but he sold the whole rig to me for 1200. I figure I'll get a g3 later on down the line. for now I need to make this rig safe for freeflying. I'm replacing the pull out with a boc (someone packed it wrong when I was in eloy and it wouldn't open!!!!) I'll add tuck tabs. anything else you guys can think of...better safe than sorry. thanks

bigfritz that is amazing! I just got back from eloy making 18 jumps which brought me up to a total of 38. 10 or so of those were coached sit fly jumps...you totally kick my butt on those!!!! it took me 5 jumps to get up and hold it for a few. congrats...keep up the good work!

I found this movie Freefly Millennium 2...it has trance djs, that sucked me in

can anyone recommend a freefly dvd...just anything cool or instructional. thanks
