Most incidents outside the U.S.?
ibanfield replied to smayo76's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The U.S is one country the rest of the world is 200+ other countries, it kind of makes sense that more acidents occur in the rest of the world compared to the U.S. Face your fears, live your dreams. -
Thanks, that helped to clear it up. Face your fears, live your dreams.

So is it possible to use type 8 (big fat rings) that are on the harness with risers that have the type 17 mini rings? Face your fears, live your dreams.

Does anyone know if its possible to change the large rings of the three ring circus on a fully articulated harness from type 8 to type 17 or viceversa. What would be involved, how much would it cost and who could do it (rigger, manufacturer etc)? Thanks. Face your fears, live your dreams.

Im in desperate need of a container to fit a sabre 150 and pdr 143. I have come accross a couple of J2s and I know Sunpath recomend a 160 reserve size in their J2 odyssey but just wondered if any riggers have any experience with packing a slightly smaller reserve into the container. Ive contcted Sunpath and they didnt realy give me a definitive yes/no, just we recommend... Thanks, Ifan. Face your fears, live your dreams.

Thanks guys for the tips, ill take take this in mind when hopefully I start BASE for real in the coming summer. Just to let you know, all my jumps whilst reaching for the risers I also had perfect on heading openings. Ive also attached a sequence of shots from one of my jumps. Comments welcome. Ifan. With reference to a comment made in the thread about the recent fatality in Twin Falls, I'm just wondering what people think about reaching back for risers immediately after throwing the PC, pros/cons etc. Ive recently done my first few BASE jumps and on all the jumps I automatically reached back for the risers after throwing the PC (as I do on a Skydive). My instructors told me this was fine but what do other people think? Ive attached a frame grab from one of my jumps. Cheers, Ifan. Face your fears, live your dreams.

The latest Muse album, Absolution, is great, usually I only listen to a few songs on albums, but on this one I enjoy them all, my favorite being Butterflies and Hurricanes. Face your fears, live your dreams.

Does anybody know the difference between a C18 and D18 Javelin harness. I believe the letter relates to the size of the yoke, but im unsure what the actual measurement is? Any feedback appreciated. Cheers, Ifan. Face your fears, live your dreams.

I have an FT 50 altimeter that I bought from Square 1, Perris, California about 18 months ago. I need to get it fixed as it has become inacurate. I live in the UK does anyone know where I can send it to get it repaired. Cheers, Ifan Face your fears, live your dreams.
