On the DZ I'm called "Q" or Dr. "Q" At home I'm called Mom (AKA ATM by my 2 teens) I can't say what my ex calls me... At work it's Dr. Evers (that's when I KNOW I won't be jumping...) - I'm a family physician in a several small, rural Illinois towns. Cover all the bases ~ deliveries, babies to everything after that. Lots of skydivers as patients. Health maintenance, you know... and in the rest of the world Susan, Sue, Suzy all seem to work Life- it's just shit that happens to you between jumps

Our DZ owners very generously donated all of the food for a wonderful "Orphan" turkey dinner this past weekend. This was for all those with no family locally, etc... but, also allowed the rest of us to join and partake!!! MMMMMMMM!!! There were to be $13 jumps all weekend, too. Alas, Mother Nature only permitted an occassional hop-n-pop. But, the V.I.P. lounge was definitely a spot where love was spread... There will be jumps this weekend -- if Mother is in a better mood. Looking at the snow flurries outside and the high of 48 predicted today...I won't be holding my breath. Life- it's just shit that happens to you between jumps

Wow, that's a beauty. Did it take any longer due to any special~special requests? I'm still very new to equipment choices and have had Odyssey recommended to me as #1 choice. Because I'm small but still jump a larger canopy, I MUST go custom. I have never found a used rig able to adjust small enough. Can you say bruises??? Do you have any opinion as to the Infinity, because I was recently told by one person that it would be even better for me because of the ability to chose my reserve size... I dunno - But, it's nice to hear a guy acknowledge that one cannot look TOO good in the air... Oh yeah,... Life- it's just shit that happens to you between jumps

I'm addicted. I'm sure every one of you feels this way. I did my first tandem Aug 27th, and now have my "A" license with 32 jumps after finishing AFP. I purchased my rig and jumpsuit without hesitation. I already went to Hawaii to jump; alas the winds were too gusty for this newbie so I repeated a tandem. But, no jump is a waste! Beautiful rush, and a great way to get in the air coaching on a difficult landing area. I'm also planning several trips to other DZs. I've introduced my teenaged boys to the SIM, packing, and many other starter videos. They cannot wait to be 18! We plan to hit the wind tunnel camps - they'll be skydivers before they can skydive! I have lived more life, felt happier and freer over the past two months than over the past 20 yrs, no exaggeration. The vast array of talented and interesting people who embrace living life for today have become a part of my everyday life. It's as though they always were! I know this is not just a passing interest, this is a lifestyle. Maybe moving one mile from the DZ with other skydivers was my first clue. Changing my place of worship to the chapel at the DZ on Sun AMs and in corporating the DZ "family into all of my holiday plans seemed natural. I know I must sound a bit extreme, but I don't think I'm actually an exception in this world. The passion is more of the rule! I hope that all of you experience the connection at your homes that I have at mine. As we say here Fly by the Golden Rules and Spread the Love!! Life- it's just shit that happens to you between jumps
