Also, realize that most of these types of incidents are covered over for the good ol' boy that "just made a mistake". I am not saying that either of these people are bad, just that anyone can surprise you when you least expect it. An instructor that just got their rating may have the mind set that this isn't just another student and can fall back on a fresh set of training aids while they may not be prepared for the unusual circumstance that a seasoned instructor may have seen before or may be complacent and doing a free/paid student slot. Oh, and if you are female, your instructor may be distracted by trying to impress you. I am aware that what I have just stated may piss some people off, but I am not posting to make friends. I am just pointing out the obvious. As has been said before, perhaps you just need to find someone that you TRUST. Don't Pull Low... Unless You ARE!!! Gary, Here is a link to a video about the tuner I have and enjoy a lot. I also have an older analog unit that works but not as well (different brands.) Again, there will be a lot of channels that you will only be able to access with a box from the cable company. Make sure which ever one you get, that it has a ClearQAM tuner in it to work for the cable. You may still need the cable box to get premium content as that is probably scrambled. It's not always about how/when the person feels they are ready. The DZO/ST&A have the final say. You could have 500 jumps, and they could tell you you are not aloud to fly wingsuit/camera/canopy. A lot of your progression time-line will be based on the weather and if you spend every hour of every weekend at the dropzone. As for the weather, that will depend on your location. As a student you will be more restricted with different weather conditions. I would contact your local DZ and talk with the Instructors about your particular situation. Don't Pull Low...
