I am not apologizing for anyone because I don't know what happened. That is what has me fired up. None of you know what went on but are 100% sure the cop started it and the kid was basically in a prayer meeting the whole time. I really really hope you are never selected for jury duty as you have shown us here that you habitually make your mind up on an incident with 50% of the information or less. What if the kid was told many times to not jaywalk then was requested to step to the side to recieve an official warning then decided to punch the cop or assault him? We don't know and all this anti cop "comply or die" nonsense is out of control at this point. The anti cop crowd here has a very hard time staying factual and on point. You do not know he was hit with a baton for "talking" his way out of a jaywalking ticket, and that is the third time something like that has been said here. That is lazy inciteful debating right out of a troll manual.

What does that have to do whatsoever with this topic, you are trying to imply I am suggesting some minority report type of criminal justice system when in fact this thread and my reply has to do with a crime directly witnessed by an officer of the law, and the events that came after.

I disagree especially with his statement of this. That is unknown, and if the cop did say hey kids your jaywalking then beat his ass then yep send the cop to a new job at the bowling alley or prison. I figure it went like this. Cop tells kid to get out of the street before he gets hit, and the kid returns with a "fuck you" or charges the cop who then restrains the kid with a baton until backup came along. Guess what. We don't know because this video starts half way through the incident. If it comes out that the kid engaged with fists on the cop from the inital encounter are you gonna change your mind, or are the cops supposed to win hearts and minds by allowing themselves to be cussed, assaulted, and let people go to win them over?

Are there laws designed to improve public safety? Are those laws passed by members elected by the public? Are police tasked with catching and bring members of the public who violate those laws to court to face their crimes? As part of your rights are you allowed to legally disobey official orders from those officers and resist arrest for the crimes you commit? Are there laws that cover those action you comit against the officer who in his official capacity was doing his job legally?

So you advocate walking in the street, breaking the law, disobeying lawful orders. There is a reason we don't walk in streets but for designated areas and times, it's called roadkill. That is the reason we have jaywalking laws to prevent roadkill. When stopped for breaking the law you must grow up and face the facts that there are consequences for breaking the laws enacted by your elected officials that come in the form of tickets and fines. Not(who knows for sure) cuss and possibly fight the officer for your fuck up. And like the poster said above. Once you decide to act like an animal and try to fight someone who was legally doing their job there are legal consequences for those actions too. Simply grow up and follow the law. This cop did not look like he was out to fuck up some black kids. He was out to enforce the laws that protect citizens from getting hit by cars, or block traffic(obstruction of commerce is a criminal charge too). But this video does not tell the whole story, so how do you or I know what this video was all over in the first place?

Not everyone is a fortunate as you to live in a nice big house, own an airplane, and have a good job. You are probably closer to the 1% earners everyone is complaining about than you are middle class so you do not live in that income range where we are hurting you only read about it.
