----------------------------------------------------------------- Am i the only one who thinks the trend towards wider and wider wide angle lenses is just leading to crappier and crappier video? ----------------------------------------------------------------- I tend to agree with you, I like the look of video without any lens at all, but it's much harder to pull off for sure. I am using a .45 now, but I'm thinking bigger numbers as opposed to smaller ones, and none at all when possible.....that and learning to fly better.

Here's a couple exits.....

Problem solved. -=-=-=-=- If you use the 45-degree rule, I will be delighted to jump after you. "Perfect" and your 45 degree thing too...(I agree) That just Cracked me up, very cool, come on Saturday.....

I just recieved the Tongue Switch I ordered last week from paragear. Nice set up compared to the biteswitch, flat low profile, small red button on a square base. Now how do you distinguish a new one from an old one? Hope I have the new improved one. Thanks. gb

I've been jumping both my new Infinity's now for a few months. I feel bad for not telling everyone sooner what a great gear buying experience this was. This makes the 4th and 5th new rigs I've purchased since I started skydiving. Customer Service, simply put, there is None Better. Quality of Product; If it's possible I couldn't tell you how to make it better. These two Rigs were Exactly what I expected when I ordered them, oh, and I typically expect allot. I've spent 25 years in the aerospace industry in Quality Assurance, so it's not All my fault, I've been trained to be picky. In my opinion, simply put; The Best Looking, Most Comfortable, Functioning Rig, (not to mention the most economical), period. So I bought Two!!!! So if your considering a new rig, Buy an Infinity, You will not be sorry. Thanks to Jeff and Kelly, oh yeah, Ralph and Shelly too. Greg Beloit, D15859

Thanks for the memories, geeze, guess I'm an old guy too, 16 years now since that first jump. My heroes already had that many years in the sport when I started. I think I was very lucky to have them, their wisdom and guidance as a student jumper. Those were the good old days, and I think the way the attitudes are going now, these may if fact become the good old days. Great Article, Thanks again.

Sorry, didn't mean to say I bought that particular camera, I have previously bought Cannon cameras from them though on 4 different occasions. Relative to California, the east coast prices have always been significantly cheaper. If I ordered on a Monday, it was on my front porch in 3-4 days.

I've had really good luck with buydig.com and saved a few hundred bucks. use these search engines first though just to check the latest prices. streetprices.com pricewatch.com Good luck

It sets in one of the front bays that you are not using..., has a fire wire, S-Video,(anaolog) and the usual RCA plugs. Check out canopus.com they have some pictures there.

Bite- or tongue-switch with chin-cup?
d15859 replied to volkerschuh's topic in Photography and Video
I'll sell ya a bite switch cheap.....you'll get an up and down bob in your video every time you bite it with a chin cup....., A tongue switch is where I'm going next.... -
Kallend, I have heard that the microphone can get too much input,(sound) and can cause a type of feedback internally in the camera....I also have a TRV33,and just last weekend stuffed the bonehead box full of foam around the microphone area. made quite a difference, you can still hear just fine, but it's toned down quite a bit. Might just help... Skychic; I Just installed a Canopus AVDC1394 card with the front bay inputs, works really good. The hook ups are much easier now too being in front! So I suggest a good capture card as well as a good video, (Graphics) card, they are different but work together. Also get as much RAM as you can afford, 512 is thin, get a Gig if you can.
