Hey it upsets me too. They are my brothers and sisters in arms. I hate that they had to give their life and limbs to this cause, but spend a day with a large group of these men and women and you will find that the majority of us truly belive in what we are doing over there. Of course you will only see on the liberal media the few that they hunt down that will critize our mission and bitch about doing their job. I truly believe that our cause is a noble one. I also believe that our president went about presenting it to the public in the wrong way. He should have come straight out and said that we are going to end a tyrannical leaders reign of terror and free a suppressed nation of people. True, but the MC-5 is just an MC4 with a D bag and static line assembly and no FF2 or AR2. Not true the MC-5 which is the rig used by the Marines is fitted with an AR2. I will be sure, always SEMPER FI

mc-4, mc-5 both 380's 7 cell chutes, essentially the same parachute. the mc-5 can be rigged for static line openings by adding a outer d-bag and rigging a drouge to the main. both parachutes have the exact same canopy for a reserve. this is so that if there is a malfunction there is no need to deviate from the set mission. these two parachutes are currently the mainstay of halo/haho packages used by military special forces. although you will still find some units flying the MT1-xx and MT1-xs, essentially the same parachute but rigged with a smaller 5 cell reserve. if you are interested in purchasing these parachutes you can sometimes find the canopies w/o anything else including the suspension lines at some base DRMO's I will be sure, always SEMPER FI

check your fact drew petrol in turkey cost about a $1.30 a liter which is about a quart so thats about $5.20 a gallon ( this info straight from a turkish officer) now $1.59 doesn't seem so bad does it. I will be sure, always SEMPER FI

i'm not sure how much experience youve had in the oil business, but i grew up in an oil field. iff you ask anyone in this business the reason halliburton recieved this contract was that they were the only company that was immediately capable of handling the job. this is due to the fact that they already had the people and equipment in the area because they have been operating there for decades. As for the VP ( and i may be wrong about this feel free to correct me) but when the Honorable Mr. Cheney took office he had to break all financial ties to this company. To all who have posted and read this thread, I know it seems that in most peoples mind we have become a terrorist nation ourselves. Understand this we are facing a threat that is above and beyond any we have faced before. There are many happenings at Guantanamo that we do not know or need to know. In order to enjoy the freedom we have we must understand that this world is not a utopia. Sometimes things are not as black and white as we percieve them to be. What will happen to these detainees is yet to be seen, but you can be sure that whatever happens is for the best of our nation. As for the conditions at Gitmo I can assure you that they are being treated in a humane manner. There are guards down there that I know personally and they have said that the place is no worse than the prisons we hold our own militarymen in. Be sure that what is going on in our nation today is hard and trying on all of us. All we can do is to trust our elected officials to do what is in our country's best interest, and exactly that OUR nation not the UNITED nations. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

thanks for the advice, but i am trained in ram air flat pack and pro pack, main and reserve, but i do plan on getting some experience with some civilian rigging before getting to involved I will be sure, always SEMPER FI
