Heh. Even the freefliers at our DZ admin that we're the dark side. It's all relative. (So to speak.) CRW Diva #9 D-25905

Hah! No wonder we were compatible in Empuria -- we were both flying sequential trim, but not WR length! I'd been wondering. CRW Diva #9 D-25905

I just know the rig was repacked and the lines were fixed the next morning. I wasn't aware there were 2 separate lofts Actually Pete's the One True Lodi rigger, but his loft is an independent business. The DZ does not run its own loft. He did an absolutely spectacular job that weekend, including handling a 4x4 inch tear in my center cell between jumps! Such service! CRW Diva #9 D-25905

Memorial Website for Taz (Tamsin Causer)

I'm sure some of you knew her, she was on the 400-way in Thailand just recently. I usually stick to the crw forum, but thought someone might want to pass the url along. http://www.crwdiva.org/taz-memorial/ CRW Diva #9 D-25905 -

Sadly I was not on the actual record. I flew pin (and occasionally #3) for the "B" team all week. Mind you, we were doing better than the "A" team for a bit. Next time... CRW Diva #9 D-25905

Had a little fun at the DZ last Sunday

Me too. Cept for the time I got to the far side of the country with nothing but a pair of loafers. Walmart was my friend that day. CRW Diva #9 D-25905 -
Are they going to let you touch someone this time? CRW Diva #9 D-25905

I've seen enough plummetting shoes during CRW. CRW itself seems to have special shoe requirements and I've spent more time talking about shoes with CRW dogs than with high heeled girly girls. I bought a pair of high top converse for CRW. I held out until I found a pair that was black rubber, with red tops -- haven't seen another pair like them. Which has lead to two conversations in CRW circles (one of which is appropriate here): High tops or low tops? Some folks go for shoes that they can kick off if they get wrapped. Others go for shoes that are going to stay with them and have as few snag points as possible. Opinions? CRW Diva #9 D-25905

My solution has been two containers. I started with RW and didn't start doing CRW until I had 500 jumps. I bought a new container after about 400 (RW) jumps and kept the original one -- it was an old used Eclipse I bought when I had 20 jumps. I would have sold it, but being rather large and obsolete, I wouldn't have gotten much out of it. It had a Triathalon 220 in it when I bought it -- great for a beginner, also great for the sort of bagless packing I do for CRW. I don't think I could fit my CRW canopy in my RW rig if I tried. So yeah, something borrowed or used and cheap. Funny thing though. I've got this brand new fancy rig for RW. I can't remember the last time I jumped it. The reserve is 2 months out of date, and I'm having the time of my life jumping the ratty old container I bought years ago just off student status... CRW Diva #9 D-25905
