SkydiveChicago is my home and always will be. I like the place because my wife and kids can go for a swim, fish, camp, walk to the river or just hang around the Hanger. They have a lot of other kids to hang with too. A real family oriented DZ. No need to go anywhere else.

Thing is American politics is proberbly interesting if you are an American, but for the rest of the world, real, who cares? I think domestic politics from any country should stay out.*** Politics make the world go around. Where are you from?

I have jumped a total of 1, uno, one, singular, as in one single time since January, and that was ONLY because someone felt sorry for me, and bought me jump ticket , and someone else hooked me up with a rig! It must be nice to have a job, and income so you can look down and tell everybody that cannot afford something how full of shit they are*** What a bunch of crap. Do you want me to feel sorry for you? When I was in College, in shit hole Monroe, Louisiana I took a job at 2 dollars an hour making cinnamon rolls for 10 hours a day 3 days a week. Jobs are all over the place, but some people will not take on a position that is below them. I am so sick of people crying about no work, come to Illinois I can hook you up tomorrow with an all kinds of work. Construction clean up person 15 hour cash, do you want that job? If so let me know, I have some friends who builds custom homes and they can not find enough people to learn the trade. So if you want it, send me an e-mail you got the job. You know when most of grandparents had bullshit, low paying, ass busting jobs they call that an opportunity, today people are to dam lazy or want a job in their specific field, well that is not reality. You have money to pay for internet connections don’t you? $20.00 a year is less then.01 cents a day. I work on average 80-100 hours a week. Why so I can have the things in life that I want to have, so my kids can have a solid home, an education etc. I could work 40 a just get by but I don’t. EDIT: you are Retired military (USMC), do you not receive a pention? If it were to come to a $20.00 a year fee, I will pay that for you since you served out great country how is that.

Brian, You make some great and valid points. I guess we should just not have a talk back section, and then we can all read the women’s forum. Some great topics are in that room like do you get cramps when jumping with a tampon, what type of birth control do you use, my boy friend left me, yadda, yadda, yadda. I feel that if the women can talk about issues like that on a "Skydiving website" why can people not talk politics, etc. Make the Playing field fair for all, the name of the game is respect. Sometimes this place is more like a day time soap opera then a skydiving website..

I would not get into a plane with a pilot who has less then 2000 hours. The demands of flying jumpers is serious business,

First off, if people skydive they can afford to pay $20.00 a year. If you cant afford $20.00 a year people are full of shit...My opinion. my point is that the people who pay a fee to be on the site will have every intention to contribute to the comments or just lurk to be on the site, they have a real interest in skydiving, even if they do not jump. People who do not want to pay a fee to be on the site will move on to some other one. I guess it would make the site more attractive to me knowing that everyone else that is on here has paid to be here not just here because the services are free. I hope that helps you.

(USPA card scan or certificates from your country acceptable) Provide proof of your number of years in the sport (again, number of USPA membership years, scan of your logbook etc could do) Provide proof of your jump experience including the number of jumps in the past year. I am a USPA member with 400 jumps, I have only jumped out of Skydive Chicago and never got my license as of yet, I do not know if I will jump this year or not but I do enjoy the site and most of the people on it. I come to the site to see what is up in the sport, keep in contact with some old friends and to look at all the worthless topics in the” talk Back" section. I enjoy the stupidity of most of the post, I learn some interesting views on many issues from all the diverse people posting. I do not take any of to heart it is the internet, most is just small talk, a lot of kids talk. You can tell where most people are in life by the topics they post or reply too. Why do you not just charge $5.00 a month to be a member and let the "talk" section just be what it is a lot of talk on whatever. I always love Jerry Garcias quote, So Jerry do you still drink or do drugs? Nope ,none at all, well i do like to do some schrooms every now and then to clean out the pipes. Well he died of a herion over dose. I have no problem with some pot, i have done all the others, acid was fun in the late 80 ies along with some good old X but the cocaine and herion are the real killers. The booze can casue trouble too if you dont know your limits.
