Yeah, I wonder what the deal is with jumping the vladiball over hear? if the ball is lost and expelled its lead surely the container would prove no more lethal than a woody or falling freebag after cutaway. I suppose you could argue that it had a deceleratory system incorporated within its design. Does anyone know the person to contact at the BPA in order to make a case for jumping the Vladibal over the UK? "We are the pilgrims master".

Does anyone know the reason why were not allowed to jump the ball in the UK? I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the CAA ? Also does any one know away of changing this ruling or about finding a loophole in the system that we can shamelessly exploit to jump the ball in the UK? It's seems strange we can't jump balls over certain DZ in the country that have large non inhabitable areas surrounding them I.E.{"Nevers" is right next to a military impact area that is constantly under bombardment from one sort of missile or another}. Gotta love that British red tape shit!

Nah I was the guy in the unnaturaly tight red and white matter suit{ masochist}. Now changed colors to parrot sick yellow. If your gonna be a bear be a grizzly!

Tracking in a arched position is ok in as far as you can maintain good visual contact with the leader. However it is inefficient as you will be spilling air off the front of your body resulting in breaking, this is ok if you can keep up and react fast to any speed or angle changes, but I don't think it's ideal. tracking correctly is mainly to do with where you are positioning your self in the dive { slots}and what sort position you fly efficiently in, taking in to account your weight and structure. I think it is better to be in a dearched efficient position, controlling speed, the relative angle and altitude with the knees. by controlling your position in this way will probably mean the slot will have changed and you will now have to fly heads {or predetermined } level. This also means you will still keep good visual's on the leader/base and means that you should maintain sufficient height on the leader allowing you to react quicker to speed or angle changes. Tracking in general is meant to be at a considerable horizontal speed so all this tracking in the arch or dearched on the back{lazy} is for the birds. not literally. Saying all that group tracking is freeflying, so I suppose it doesn't matter how you get to where you wanna be, as long as your there and in control.

So far I've been lucky enough to be coached by some of most pioneering and influential coaches within the discipline. Alaska Jon, Ippo Fabbi and Max Cohn. I would say that Alaska {as my first coach} gave me a solid foundation of basic skills to improve upon. I would say he has an easy going and highly technical approach to coaching. He has a great style of instruction, very professional! Ippo taught me to fly outside the box and to start exploring the grey areas of freeflight. The coaching I received from him was in my opinion inspirational. He had a great attitude and this created an almost stress free environment to work and learn in. A real pro and a nice fella. Max was the last coach that I've trained under. I did a training camp with Max and my team. It was intense but rewarding. Max installed a higher level of discipline in my flying and pushed me to fly in loads of unusual body positions. He was honest and professional. a dedicated teacher. All three of these guys have helped me out big time. A true bunch of pro's. I feel like a spoilt bastard.

***You can’t expect to improve your jive by disjiving other jivers, all that does is interrupt the flow of the universal jive, to which we all serve, by our own individual jive patterns, unique to our area's funkadelic aqua-groove. Sucka! fair one, thanks for clearing that one up bro!

Hey everyone, Just wondering if there are any basic rules or guidelines for bigish head down formation flying. I.e. Set up in the door, control in the base, approaches and rules for break off. Any info' would be great. Me and some other bro's are trying to get some formation stuff together and we don't get much practice doing that type of thing in the UK. cheers.

Headcorn... The worse DZ in Uk!!!!
Andrewnewell replied to Bluessurfer's topic in Events & Places to Jump
The friend that I mentioned in my earlier post is Trigger. If you know him, you'll know that he's one of the most friendly chilled out dude's around. It would take a place like Headcorn to pissoff a bloke like that! ***The thing is, there's no point telling everyone how bad the UK dropzones are, without doing something about it. I'm really angry that people here in the UK feel they can't jump at their local DZ because the staff are so rude. If senior staff from Headcorn don't reply with an explanation to these posts, I'm going to set up a website with footage of staff being rude, to name and shame them. The reason they don't reply is because they don't give a toss, which is of course what this thread is all about. I say vote with your feet! -

Cheers for that! To be honest I've never laughed as much at any other DZ on the planet either! Fair one! See you there if I go down. -
UK freefly coach rating, any suggestions?
Andrewnewell replied to Andrewnewell's topic in Freeflying
Yo fedykin don't sit on the fence bro! just tell it how it really is! Ha ha ha. All I say is that I agree with the last point you made. sorry I can't comment on the others as i'm not interested in being sucked into a "brit political freefly vortex"{ It's pretty entertaining to look over the event horizon though}. Anyhow bro have you got any suggestions on how a freefly coach's rating should be set up in a country where people can't jump the ball? If you feel that your comments could be a little controvertial for public viewing here, we can chat about it later{ coz I know you wouldn't want to offend anyone!}. looking forward to subsequent O groups with you! "Their firing sir! There firing!" "Yes number one, be sure to point it out when they hit me!" -
Yeah I suppose the "rabbit" is just poor terminology, we may aswell just call him the "target"! I think I've just seen too many tracking jumps where the leader's brief is just follow me and switch off.
-
Surely when on tracking dives we should fly a pre planed base as opposed to just tracking after a "rabbit" or leader? It seems to me that there are to many people content with just chasing a rabbit resulting in a dangerous free for all. Instead of getting a group of people to just track hard and getting every one to focus on the same small area shouldn't we getting every one to fly in a pre planned base on heads level just like any other skydive? When I look at some of the atmonauti dives people do it looks like a much more controlled enviroment, with everyone in a line on heads level. should we apply this method to large tracking jumps? David it's over to you.

Thanks guy's. will probably be putting grips on our suits to aid linked manoeuver's, but will probably stay away from helmet grips.
-
I'd just like to get a few opinions about putting grips on helmets. Saw some video of the last air games where some teams had used a grip/loop on the helmets to aid them in carrying out some complex moves. Is it a good idea that allows ff team's to come up with more imaginative moves? Or is it an aid that highlights a flyers inability to carry out a manouver with out the aid of a grip?
-
Try Netherhavon bro, It's pretty low profile as the DZ is millitary an can't advertise. But don't be decived, this is no small time operation, good aircraft, nice bar, huge landing area, nice people! CHECK, CHECK IT OUT!

UK freefly coach rating, any suggestions?
Andrewnewell replied to Andrewnewell's topic in Freeflying
Cheers bro, will have a look. -
Once you got the technical stuff sorted out it's really important to get relaxed. to be relaxed in the air is one of the hardest things to do in any skydive. Its natural to get excited about jumping. just some of the factors that make it hard to just chillout in the air... We aint ment to be up there! it is an alien environment to a human. Self induced pressure about getting it right. fear factor. sensory overload{ noise, brightness, air pressure} To over come these things I try to first visualize the dive and what I want to happen, then I try to visualize the truth. whats likely to happen and what should I do about it. To relax, try to do some sort of breathing exercise close to exit time. this will get more much needed oxygen to the brain and should relax you. do it with a buddy as if your trying to synchronize your self with them. Also try to tence all the muscles in my body from my toes to my head. I do this to know what it feels like to be tence so I can then know what it truly feels like to be relaxed physicaly. "It's like a finger pointing to the moon, don't concentrate on the finger all you'll miss all that heavenly glory" Bruce lee said that.
