I have a few other positions I am looking for besides computer geeks. What is your military experience and units served in, Lee? You can email me directly if you do not wish to post it here. Forty-two

Would have to answer "None" to the phobia question. Many people confuse phobias with normal fear. I heard a psychologist once explain the differences in fear and phobias in the best way... Pretend you have a fear of snakes. A lot of people are terrified of snakes. A good way of knowing if you have just a normal fear or an actual phobia was described by this doctor as this... "Pretend you are walking across a field and see a snake. If you get scared you may not neccessarily have a phobia. Now, let's say you are flipping through a magazine and see that same snake in a picture. Do you get the same fear just looking at a picture of a snake? If so you may have a phobia." That to me was a pretty cool explanation of the differences of fears and phobias. Forty-two

LOL. This tells me all I need to know about your "knowledge" of which units are SOF and not. Definitly no need to debate this anymore. The offer is still on the table of you want to PM me so we can chat on the phone. I wouldn't mind taking some time out of my day to SITREP you. Peace Forty-two

Completely untrue. PM me and I'll direct you to some people who can educate you and bring you up to speed. Forty-two

Both. I have 7 companies who are tentatively lined up. 5 out of the 7 require both physical and informational security consulting. And furthermore, 2 of the facilities are requesting a live troubleshoot. Forty-two

Never put a price tag cap on good help. Knowledgable employees are hard to find. Forty-two

I am about a year away from having all the pieces in place to forming my own company. This is going to be a security consulting firm. Possible clients will be banks, corporate businesses, military instalations, etc... Military background is preferred but not required. Consulting and "troubleshooting" are the two main areas I will be concentrating on. I am mainly looking for individuals who posess phenominal computer skills in regards to security. If you are extremely knowledgable in this area, send me a PM or post here. This is about a year away, so nothing definite yet. Forty-two

When we say "Special Forces" in this thread, we are referring to SOC (Special Operations Capable) units. Technically, Special Forces refers to the select units in the US Army, as we stated earler. In this thread, I am refering to "special forces" as any unit that is SOC. We commonly refer to many units that are SOC as "Special Forces", such as MEU, Force Recon, Marine Snipers, DAP, SRT, FAST, DEVGRU, Red Cell (until their demise in 1996), and so on. Now granted, some of these units are far easier than others to get into. Take for instance, the 82nd Airborne. This course is a cake-walk. Same as the 10th, etc... If you disagree with any information I have disposed in this or any other thread, let me know and I will provide you with phone numbers and contacts of mine throughout all the branches to verify these statements and bring you up tp speed. If you feel more comfortable, PM me and I'll email you the information. Forty-two

Incorrect. Those units, like many others I have yet listed are considered Special Forces. Forty-two

Some confusion on where Delta recruits from. Here's the skinny... Delta recruits from 3 places. - US Army active duty - US Army Reserve - National Guard As of this moment in time, that's it. Stating Delta only recruits from Rangers is a bunch of hogwash. Forty-two

Not really. All selected candidates accepted into Delta training program begin the 2 year education course at Ft. Bragg's Special Operation Training facility (SOT). Before anyone is selected to begin Delta training at the SOT, every candidate is thoroughly screened, psychologically tested, physically challenged and has a very intensive background check performed. Delta and DEVGRU are the two most elite CT units in the world. Forty-two

Still called Delta. Forty-two
