When you sign the contract that clearly states the facts, its your responsibility to read it. It's a really shitty thing to do to someone and anyone that does something that low should be taken out in the back and have the shit kicked out of them. BUT if you go to court on something like that you will lose every time. Thats why we don't let kids sign. You must be an adult or your parents can sign for you. I never lied to someone because I have to look at myself in the mirror and be OK with who I am. But in this world some people are just shitty. Hey Question? If I tell you that you are going to get a brand new 500SL Mercedes, You sign a contract and give me $5000.00 down then I deliver to your house a 1979 AMC Pacer. The contract said AMC Pacer but you never read it. It also said that anything this car salesman promised you is worthless unless its in this contract. Now THATS a shitty thing to do!! But the question is..... Who's fault is it that your stuck with the Pacer? And when your friends see you in it and LTFAO, what will you say? What is this THEY told him crap? Everyone that joins any service puts his/her mark on a contract. Did he read it? have you seen it? I know the process! I was a recruiter for three years in Los Angeles. I put hundreds of people in boots and I never lied to one of them. You don't have to. Besides the recruiter is not the one that gives them a job anyway just in case their are any lies. The recruiter is not even allowed in when the kid swears in. At the bottom of the contract it says (in the same size print) that you will not get anything you were promised that is not in this contract. You have to read and initial each paragraph. Kids often get upset with the choices they made and some lie about what they were told. Read his contract! AND 20k less???? We have a pay scale that anyone can look at. It shows in black and white who makes what. Look at his contract to see what rank he entered as, then look at the service pay scale. Simple. Read before you put your mark, my daddy always said. I will not debate the war with you. Who hates war more than the soldier that has to step into harms way? NO ONE. Soldiers don't fight for OIL or WMD. We fight for our buddies on our left and right. Hey that a bunch of crapppppp. I was on active duty for 10.5 years, I deployed to the first gulf war. I am now in the National guard 1SG/E-8. I was called up to serve another year active duty and just returned. I supervise 142 of the finest 11M infantry soldiers serving today. As a private or sp4 she might be on food stamps but that is her choice! The military provides you with free food and BAQ/VHA (money for rent). Her pay might not be great now but it's much better than most civilian jobs. As for her child, she had the option to get out of the military as a single parent. If she joined and already had a child she had to provide a family care plan to show that she had given up custody or was married at the time. Remember there is no draft yet! so your friend volunteered did she not. Did she look into how much starting pay was? Please!!!! Airborne!

But the draft was on during WWII. They were not of Draft age were they? A lot of great people did get drafted and did great things in the war. We could what if all night long. But, I do understand your point and respect you for it. Airborne!

Ummm...maybe I read it wrong, or this sinus pressure is killing my brain cells, .. but why is the school holding an african american award thinger anyway? Isn't that racist all in itself? I Tend to agree with the above ^. The school should be suspended. This judging people by skin color is total bullshit. I am a person! Not a color or a title. Since I have started skydiving I can't count the number of dumb asses that have said to me that they didn't think black people did stuff like that. WTF, I just look at them like the dumb asses they are and tell 'em I would usually be robbin and stillin, rapin and pimpin but I took a break to learn how to skydive so I can get in their house from the roof. When I walk off they have the most confused stupid look on their faces.

Count me in! I'm Real. And real new to the sport (53 jumps). But now that I have started jumping the people at work don't think I'm real I turn in all these reports but they hardly ever see me. I tell them that I'm on surveillance, but I don't tell them I'm doing it from the sky. Hey! you can see a lot more from up there, right? Airborne!
