ive had a couple of dreams where a mate of mine [non skydiver tho] was jumpin with me, we were gettin low so i gestured to him to pull, and pulled my reserve, then i saw him dissappear below me without pulling. i remember thinking 'crap i must not have told him how to pull' so i took out my hook knife and cut away the reserve and tried to catch him to tell him, i ended up hitting the ground. the funny thing was i was ok, just winded. he was also waitin on the ground with a bug smile on his face sayin how good his first jump had been. www.ewancowie.com www.facebook.com/ewancowiephotography

my parents were hippies and in that way were definately free spirited my dad broke his neck diving off a bridge into murkey water, and walked home afterwards. he used to make home made bombs, one of which blew up in his hand, and his fingers are all a little shorter on that hand he used to do all sorts of crazy shit, but the thing is theres NO WAY you would get him to jump out of a plane without puttin a gun to his head! funny that... www.ewancowie.com www.facebook.com/ewancowiephotography

yeah in the UK its 16 with parental approval, and 18 without. suing isnt so fasionable as it is in the US either! i was in the Czech rep in the summer for pete marsdens boogie, and there was a 15 year old kid doin AFF, since he cant jump in britain till hes 16, hes been abroad 3 times [czech and spain twice] and has over 100 jumps now little bastard www.ewancowie.com www.facebook.com/ewancowiephotography

yeah id say take a cell phone secured somewhere easy to reach if you have a crappy landing, and glow sticks [or psi looms as you yanks call em] can be fun i attached a glow stick to my alti so i could see what height i was at [i didnt have an audible] its bright enough to shed light without ruining your night vision. also glowsticks on the back of your helmets halp you see others under canopy and on the grips of your jumpsuits help with night fs
