I'm a low number jumper - 107. I haven't posted in a while, but always read the advice. You guys have no idea how much your expertise helps. I'm in the hospital right now with a knee injury from one of my other extreme sports. I was sure hoping to skydive this weekend.

Where is the best place in the southern part of the U.S. for weather and number of loads where a fun jumper can vacation to get in a bunch of jumps in a week?

I've heard that the Iranians all shoot their AKs at the jumpers under canopy. But if you make it down they will offer you some good, hot gruel.

We see the same thing in martial arts, but status is measured in years vs. number of jumps. The thing is, it doesn't take 25 years to become an expert martial art ist and it doesn't take 3000 jumps to become an expert skydiver. However, if expertise in a particular field of endeavor is all that a person has, I don't want to take that away from them. Let them be gods.

congrats! I'm also a low number jumper and have some interesting landings. I love the taste of drop zone grass in the morning. That's why I always wear an open face helmet.

I've been diagnosed with two of them on my wrists, but in my case they were ruptured tendon sheaths from martial arts injuries. Sometimes you can smack them with a heavy phone book and they will disapear. We had a rheumetologist at our dojo and she was big into the phone book vs. surgery. My medical training is limited, but I've had better luck with Chinese medicine than the Western approach.

Not a pleasant job for a Zen Buddhist, but at least I didn't kill it. Actually, it looks just like my grandfather that recently passed away. He was a tough old bird and the first special forces guy to jump from a jet.
