I totally agree about the meds, I wouldnt let them give me anything at the hospital, no way was I going to let them put me out in that place, seriously, geckos and cats walking around the hospital-scary! After that I only took two pills over the next few days. I finished packing about 5 minutes before I jumped, the rubberband used was brand new and slightly thicker than usual.I was still 100ft ish in the air when I tossed the toggle...I think. I guess this is an Incident but I'd prefer if it stayed in the BASE zone. September 25ish 05 Malaysia, 340ft(104m) tower Mojo 260 46'pc tailgate linemod I was doing my 4th jump of the day,having done 10 the previous day.I exited with a gainer kicking a little as I got over, pitched onheading opening. The parachute immediately started rotating on its axis and I pulled down on the right toggle to continue the turn and avoid the tower which sent me into a spiral. I looked up and saw what appeared to be a lineover and gave 2 quick hard tugs to try to clear it, then threw the toggle. at that point i grabbed my risers. The parachute continued about another 270 degrees untill I impacted the ground. I managed to get my feet under me and flare before impacting the cement. Luckily I only suffered a fractured L2. I am an obsessively neat packer and sure I set my tailgate. Maybe the kicking shook something up? I'm curious if while trying to clear the lineover I actually tightened it and that's why it didn't clear when I threw the toggle. Id like to send a special shout out to my Hanwags worth every penney

ok here goes. I was in Malaysia for the tower jump 2005 event. I got 10 jumps off the 340ft tower on day 1, and was on my 4th of the second day. I exited with a gainer and opened on heading. the canopy immediatly started rotating and I pulled the right toggle to continue the turn and avoid the tower,which started a spin caused by a lineover. I gave it 2 hard pulls to try to clear it and threw the toggle. The lineover didn't clear and i spiraled into the ground.I got my feet under me and flared with the risers. Yo, I recently suffered a wedge fracture to my L2 vertebra. The fracture was luckily stable and I was given a brace(ok its a girdle) and released. this Injury occured overseas and I don't have medical here in the states so I was curious if anyone has suffered a similar injury and could give some advice as to healing time and what exactly 'taking it easy " is. Yo, Ray The one thing I would add is selecting the right Pilot Chute is key! at least it was for me. I Recently went to norway and was jumping my Mojo260 large mesh slider and vented 34"pc...no problem,comfy openings, good heading dot dot dot. Then I went to the swiss valley,"wow i thought, these cliffs are much lower, I should throw on my 38" pc" BAD IDEA. as I was taking 10-12 second delays. before I realized (thanks to some video ) that it wasn't crappy body position at pull time but A wildly occilating PC, I had a 180 w/ a half line twist (1st jump) and a full twist with a self clearing lineover (4thjump) After that the 34'went back on...problem solved!
