I believe the best gear is Dainese,the full spine guard that extends all the way to your coccxyx is probably the safest, however it is deffinately limiting. I use the boys size. get a large if you can but a medium is good too.they are way cheaper and would protect you in just about any scenario I could think of. Check out the Van Gogh museum for sure! also, there is a cool place to rent a bicycle along the street that leads to the train station, if you are leaving the train station it is about 3 blocks on the left.There's a cool Aussie place near the redlight that advertises "warm beer and lousy food" check it out, most of the bicycle taxi guys can direct you there. Unless you are 80lbs and under 5ft don't get a 250MC,get a scooter you'll be way happier. I think a 750cc would be irrisponcible and way too much bike for a first rider. An dual sport(dirt bike made for driving on the street) 350 would be awesome, off the line quickness,not too high a topspeed (80 mph maybe) and you can drop it a bunch and it will be ok. Johnny really does kick ass, I took his course before Tom was doing his thing,It cost half of what the others did (BR, Morpheus...) and was a full week not a weekend. He also sent me a packing vid, and the Bridge day safety vid that he arrainged from Will Forsheys lemmings (I think). He was totally professional,and you could really see that he cared and loved doing it...and he's a great jumper and an awesome teacher. ~Laying in bed last night thinking about this B I want to jump (much later) I started thinking of the safest position on the building to launch from. I figured it would be the safest (Winds allowing) to jump from the corner of a building instead of the flat. This would allow more flight area in case of an off heading opening. (see attached diagram) If you had a 180 off heading, jumping in this manner would require less riser/toggle input to avoid the B. If anyone has an opinion on this, or sees something I am overlooking, please let me know. You guys have been a real help in the past, and I know there is alot of knowledge on this site. Thanks!
