    Glad to hear that you are OK. Saw the vid and it looks nasty. I just have one newbie question and a bit hesitant to ask, but here goes anyways. Could an exposed bridle cause a premi? I thought more than likely it pull the pin and release the dbag, but jam the PC in the pouch. I'm asking this since I've looked at Brians way of packing a PC that would decrease the chances of a horseshoe.

    I cant give you hard facts, but this trial and the dismantling of Yukos is all too convenient for Putin and his friends. For example the German chancellor spoke very little on this trial, yet two of the biggest German utility giants E.On and RWE already have stakes in Russia's energy sector and are eyeing former Yukos assets. Remember the German and Putin are pretty good buddies. Add to this that Mikhail Khodorkovsky might have had political ambitions and had over 15Billion USD worth of 'influence' in curropt Russia. What Putin and his croonies are doing is stupid beyond belief. Yukos owed 27billion in back taxes and it was auctioned off for less than 9 billion. At one point Yukos pumped more oil than Lybia, and now a state owned company will control 1/3 of Russias reserve. Putin doesnt care about Russia or its economy, all he cares about is staying in power and making himself and his friends very very wealthy

    This is coming from someone with 100 odd jumps and a little over a year in the sport, but IMO I don't think this sport is safe. Like one of my instructors once said, "Once you leave the plane if you do nothing you're going to die." The view I have I make this sport as safe and unsafe as I want. I have good modern gear, but what's the use of it if I treat it like crap, not take care of it and dont really know how it works. I got awesome training and stll get coaching at my DZ but what's the use of it if I depend more on my gadgets (protrack and visual) than my training or if I decide to start doing stupid shit thats above my exp level.

    I'm in the same boat you are. Got an ear infection last week and doc gave me some meds. I asked him about jumping and he would not recommend it. He's not a jumper but a pilot and was concerned with the effects of the meds making me drowsy and decompression on my ear.

    Agreed, and this was at least 60+ years ago. Hell even today people get all out of whack when you mention sex let alone studies about human sexual behavior. It's ok to show a live fatal car chase on TV but if you show some T&A all hell breaks lose.

    IMO the art that truly trys to capture how humans fight is Krav Maga. Everything is used from teeth to heels. I like it in that it incorporates boxing, kickboxing, JJ and disarming opponents. To the original poster check it out. You live in Cali they might have one near you.

    I would go. I'd be bummed about missing the annual trip, but if she is important to you go. Take your rig along who knows maybe you can disappear for a few hours to a DZ that might be near by. Tell her its mental therapy.

    Qu'ran is the proper way, from my World Religion class in college. The problems come from translating it from Arabic to English. Then again you can spell my name two ways and each one would be correct.

    IMO people are giving him a huge amount of leeway. If this were a regular person they would've already taken away his kids and folks would be ready to fry the guy. There is something really weird, in a sick way, with MJ. It just doesnt seem right that this is the second or third time someone has charged him with sexual abuse of a kid and people think nothing is going on.

    You want skin cancer down the road then go to a tanning salon. Trust me on this one, you dont want skin cancer. I'm 27 baked in the sun for several years in college and HS since I was a life guard and skin cancer SUXS. Go to a department store and get a self tanner if you really want a tan.

    I have mine with FGL Insurance here in cali. It's a univeral plan and I pay out around $90 a month for 250K. It has several pros, one of them being if I get diagnosid with a terminal illnnes, die within 6 months, I get half, 125K, upfront. I also decided to go with universal since my monthly payment will not increase and from what the agent told me the payout is tax free to my benefeciary. Too bad you're not in Cali, I would give you my agents #.

    Why do you think this is becoming more prevalent, Is it mainly to make the rigs look nice and cool or does is serve some function since mains are becoming smaller and smaller. Just curious.

    I took Scott's class a few weeks ago and man this jump was my favorite. I've done it a few times since on a H&P, and only above 3K.

    Through some sort of uber main fabric technology your main parachute would pack itself. You would land, stow you breaks, lay it out and this uber fabric with some sort of nanotechnology would pack itself.

    Agreed. I'd like to see a PETA activist try turning a big cat like a Bengal tiger or Panther into a vegan animal. I'm sure the cat would cooperate.

    I'm against the DP, but this f-er really deserves it and I hope he gets it. I just cant believe someone would do that to a fellow soldier. What crimes carry the DP in the military justice system out of curiosity.
