Been to Bedford a couple of times now and to be perfectly honest I wouldnt want to go anywhere else, to have the locality and still be able to sleep in my own bed without the costs of flights and accomadation is fantastic. i just got a new sabre2 as well....and i love it....the openings i get right now are....interesting....but i like to think, its always like a bit of surprise every time i pull......oh!!....what will it do next.....though, i must add, only got 10 jumps on it and my packing of a new zp canopy is far more likely to be the problems im having with my openings than to do with the canopy.......shes flies beautifull....and shes all mine!!!! id always thought the same....that the important thing was to get as much separation as possible...but at the dz in spain they had this big thing as to not tracking up and down the jump run, or opening on the jump run, which obviously is a consideration. the serparation has to be first by far. thanks for all your advise, im pretty sure i made the right decision, to get more separation and get out the jump run. was just a bit concerned by the opinion of the jumper that I should of just pulled where I was, to me I had lots of options left open to me at that stage that could give me more separation. thanks for your replies

Im after advice on whether I did the right thing or not. Set us is 3 way fun jump, dropzone in spain, where you get told a specific way to track (to avoid gliders and such like) myself and another jumper both FS1 (Cat 10) and and a A license jumper still trying to get his FS1. Did the jump and it got to tracking time...I watched the A license jumper track off and noticed he turned in his track and was then in my airspace that I was going to track. Looked back at the other jumper, who was tracking 180 to me. I decided to turn slightly and track into clean airspace and to mainly get out of the run in line that I was still in at this time. Had a little bit ofaltitude left whilst this was going on (broke off early as the a license jumper was still learning, as am I!) found as much airspace and seprartion as I could before I had to pull....thought id made the right decision...but when we got down...the other more experienced jumper said that in that scenario it would of been better for me to pull. My question is would it of been better to let them track and me just pull (bearing in mind I was still in the run in line and we were first out, so as I saw it, potentially pulling my chute with someone above me still in freefall), as I wasnt sure how much separation I would get, or should I have done what I did? I agree....when I was (actually still am) learning to sitfly..the coach insisted that I do several jumps on my own without camera after a 'formal' camera jump with debrief....and he was right...when you are new to all this ...alot of it is getting the right 'feeling' on the air and I think as long as you are guided in that...in can be a pretty individual thing thing to figure out for you. And thats how he worked it...camera jump/debrief...several on my own...camerajump/debrief...several on my own...rather than a load of consecutive coached jumps.. Pressure is on a bit on each vidded/coached jump to 'achieve' a goal...personally being able to show the coach what i could do after several jumps on my own ( working under his guidance) took the pressure off me on the actual jump......well at least until the debrief! i only have 50 jumps and overall, the only thing i know for definate about skydiving is the more i learn, the more i know i have to learn. its a good feeling

I regularly do volunteer work for the RSPCA in the UK and unfortunately see this sort of thing too often, to my mind, even 1 case like this is too much. For the majority of people, its a misunderstanding of what having an animal involved and not getting the right information before they start. These people can normally be helped, as most cases would come under neglet rather than intentionally cruelty. Unfortunately, this incident looks like someone who intentionally did this and maybe actually got a kick from doing it. Im a very inconfrontational type of lass but wouldnt it be great to pour battery acid over them and peel their skin off slowly!!!!....no duct tape for them, i wanna hear them scream "Work to live, dont live to work" http://www.valkyrie4way.co.yk

im 126lbs and used to jump 280...seemed to spend my whole ride going abckwards.....even in 8-10mph winds. didnt think that i was in any particular danger, just hasnt helped me with my canopy control much now im starting to downsize. seems im learning from scratch again "Work to live, dont live to work" http://www.valkyrie4way.co.yk

Have read quite a few posts on here with reference to the pros and cons of the mini 3 ring system. Im in the process of ordering my 1st rig, lucky enough to be able to but brand new but am still a little confused as to whats best. Have spoke to both the instructors at my DZ and my rigger and am still no futher along in my decision, some say yes they be fine, just remember to use 2 hands to cutaway as ive been taught, some say they wouldnt hve them at all!. Are they really just a fashion thing or is there a serious safety issue here with them. Am ordering teardrop superfly with PD Sabre2 150 main. I am very new in skydiving, have 40 jumps, weigh 126 pounds.
