Okay then. I just remember getting the lecture (and 50 push ups) during D.E.T. for getting that answer wrong while playing Smart Soldier/Strong Soldier, what ya wanna be? Editted to add: The then S.Sgt of my section (who was later put into IAR for failing PT) was kind of a dickhead so it wouldnt really suprise me if he was fucking with me. And i never trained on pistols so go figure _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Granted... its been a few years since I was in the Army.. but if I had ever said I was puttin a magazine into a pistol I'd of been kicked in the ass. Course times could have changed but when I was actually working with firearms: Magazine is for a rifle And a clip is for a pistol Nitpicking your nitpicking. But, i could be wrong

This was a few years ago. I was driving on the expressway in the far right lane. This assmunch in a cadillac comes down an entrance ramp at about 30MPH. Given our positions and speed differences, I could only assume that he was gonna merge in behind me. No. This guy merges in without looking and I damn near rear end him at 60MPH. So, in a fit of rage I moved around to get in front of him then slammed on my brakes taking both of us down to about 5MPH before coming off my brakes. Looking back it was really really stupid. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

From: The Prince Who Was a Thief "It is written (dont ask me why, but almost everything in this movie begins with "It is written" anyway) He would ride two camels, falls between them" _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Actually.. not sure I have any ground to make jokes on anyway. The sheer amount of weird shit I saw go down in my barracks at Ft. Benning was enough to make me want to join a differant branch. Like when our DS walked in and there were 4 or 5 guys doing a can can line... *shudders* _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Personally, I think you are right. But, I'm just gonna point out that in most conversations if i ever said "There really aren't many women who think for themselves, are there? " it'd be viewed as over-generalization and sexism. But, thats just a technicallity. And, I don't think any of the guys on this forum are seriously looking at this list and writing down things they must do in the next few days. I think it's just kinda pointing out that while there is this "metro-sexual" craze going on, there is still a significant population of men that would choose not to immitate female grooming techniques (waxing, plucking, manicures, etc). Oh well. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Well congrats and welcome to the new world Where did you do a tandem at 15? Believe me. I understand what you're saying. And I know that you guys dont go out looking to kill innocent civilians (one of my best friends in basic training was israeli). My main problem is just hearing too many people complain about Israel without ever having any constructive ideas about what should change (with the exception of "Israel should just go away"). Argh. Ill end up going on for hours and just end up with a headache. Be safe and blue skies _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

True. It would be kind of interesting if they realized that Israel isn't going anyway. And terrorism isn't going to help them become an independant state when all they are doing is pissing off the 5th(i think?) strongest military in the world (also noted by the US and Russia to have basically perfected the art of urban warfare). Oh well. Maybe, they will learn before they are all dead.... _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard
