Your world eh? Yeah.. i've heard about that world. Its really small, and filled with closed minded people. Enjoy your camping trip. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Hrm.... Perfectly good thread ruined here... Maybe I am crazy but putting something like "managed by primarily by feminists, lesbians and homosexuals." in your sales pitch just seems somehow counter productive. I mean... first off your in a discussion thread about guys being guys. Guess what feminists are (not counting the femi-nazis here). Women who want to be women, not degraded, objectified, and just be equal. So you picked a bad crowd. Second, you list both lesbians AND homosexuals. Hrm... think about that for a second. Im sure you'll get it in a minute. Okay, here is a hint. LESBIANS ARE HOMOSEXUALS. Sure, im kinda nitpicking at that point but what you said was redundant and thus annoying. So... either you're a troll or you kinda have some issues you need to work out. And until you do work those issues out. Please leave. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

The butt landing works, although sometimes painful when you misjudge where the ground is. The problem that I encountered on one jump (Otter) was when everyone was preparing to enter the jump run. Getting off my duff and then onto my knees, sitting back against my heels like everyone else was doing (it was my second AFP jump) was a HORRIBLE idea. When it came time for my instructor and I to jump, once I left the aircraft I noticed a severe amount of pain and a very limited amount of mobility in my left leg (2 ACL replacement surgeries to date). _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Heh. whats best is when they are selling swords on tv shows.. banging a katana like sword against a table "Look how strong it is" promptly the top half of the blade flies off and gets him in the chest

I cant remember the original answer to that (its 4am gimme a break). But, wouldn't it make sense to ask a question like "Does 2 plus 2 equal 4?" to each of them and whichever says no (the liar will always lie) is the liar? Please forgive me if im retarded right now. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

5 bombs supposed to go off in DC in 15 minutes....
Cudlo replied to PhillyKev's topic in The Bonfire
Why? Would you have a problem if someone blew that shithole to smithereens? I know I wouldn't shed a tear. - You wouldn't shed a tear if someone blew schools in the DC area to smithereens? Little harsh even if you dont like the current administration. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard -

There we go... now we just gotta figure out how to land without a rig that can malfunction and we'll be set :). That base dream sounds pretty cool. How did you know you could fly? Did it just come to you or you figured it out (noticed some feathers on your arms )? On a side note I'm realizing sitting up at 4am (having not slept) drinking corona when you have to go into a school (k-12) and teach a buncha rugrats is prolly not a hot idea. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Thank you very much for your response Jeff. I've been running over the drills alot after I had that dream. Outside of the safety/danger i've been thinking about with skydiving in relation to this dream. I just find the dream itself rather odd since I rarely if ever remember my dreams. And when I do they fade away pretty quickly. But this one is sticking... like it was a solid orange chute, and it looked more elliptical and smaller than the Sabre2 that i have been jumping. Oh well. Good idea dave. Think I will work on that if i get this dream again. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

I dont intend to let it run me away from skydiving. Its just got me a little spooked is all. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

See.. i used to have those falling dreams when i was a kid. Except when most people say they wake up before they hit the ground i didnt. matter of fact i fell out of the sky and landed on the picket fence i had outside my house growin up.... that hurt. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Few nights ago i was having a skydiving dream. Everything was nice and pleasant till it came time to pull. I ended up spinning like hell, when i looked up my lines were all twisted up near the risers. I checked my altimeter, 1600', the main was fully inflated but i was spinning like crazy. Kicked out of it and was okay by 500'. Woke up sweating bullets. I wasn't in control of my dream.. i was just watching it happen. And what scares me is that I didn't cut away at that low of an altitude instead of trying to kick out (im still a student so 1600' and not under a good chute scares me). Now everytime i even think about that dream my heart starts racing like crazy and i get scared shitless. Now, part of me is scared to go back up not sure that my mind is gonna react correctly. Have any of you had this sorta problem getting scared from a dream? _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

As for the prisoners rights. They do have rights. They weren't randomly executed now were they? A terrorist suspect in military custody appearing before a military tribunal has a very different set of rights than average joe american. And if you really feel the need to protest the wars in Iraq/Afgahn I wouldn't bring up enforcement of the Universal Decleration of Human Rights. Because if you actually wanted to force everyone to play by those rules, we'd have to perform Diplomatic/Legal/Military action against any nation using Islamic Law. Read through the complete list of rights (i thinkits on one of the UN websites or reports) and see how many rights that are violated by Islamic Law (most of them last time i checked). On another note. Anyone remember after 9/11, many people for inexplicable reasons were enraged that our Intelligence community (which of course receives nothing but trillions of dollars and support from the government every year *snicker*) didnt see it coming. Now people get upset when we detain people and question them... go figure. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard
