hey for all of us that were there and all of you that weren't. we had a great tim ethis weekend at deland. if i had to describe it i would have to say its like "disney for skydivers" DisnEyLAND! i felt like a kid at a park where giant mice are expected to chase you down. ah you know what i mean. the skyvan was FUKN GREAT. the otter was fast as hell and to top it all off iut was only $10. and i met some of the coolest people on the planet(next to me ,of course) just to say one thing; all the stories y'hear about ego's and skygod are either wrong, or they were ALL at quincy. it could be either of the two but i had a great weekend....and some interesting skydives...but ill let someone else pipe in for that. haha GETTING HIGH IS FUN, BUT COMING DOWN IS THE BEST PART JT A-38439

alright heres a question. how long did it take for you to become totally frustrated with whuffos? i ask b/c although the ones im talking about take interest in hearing my jump stories. i alway try to TEACH them but some simple stuff just erks me. they all look at the pic in the magazine. and when they see the picture that is rounded off they all think that these are edge of space jumps. of course ,now i let em believe it. but i am tried of explaining that its just the lense etc.etc. i have no problem informing them about the mishaps(when they read em) training, stlyes of skydiving. thing ive done and wanna do( it helps me when poeple ask questions.) but there are some simple things that start tearing at the edge of "pissed off" about these friends. how do you do it? --dont get me wrong. its not like i cant handle it. and it really doenst bother me after that moment is over. i can still sleep at night. y'know what i mean. hahaha just wanna hear your horror stories about the dumb and the ignorant(isnt that a soap opera?) i spoke(emailed) with the guy from cypres( i wish i could remember his name) my card was lost and i needed a new one. his advice was. dont go in acting like a skydiver and they may never even notice. and if they do question you answer with simpole questions dont try to get technical. airport security are ignorant to alot of stuff. and he said offer the card only if you need to. i.e. dont go in with your rig in your hand. pack it in something. if they do question you dont try to show 'em how dumb you think they look. but if they just arent getting it, then show em your card. he said most of the time you will not have a problem. i heard of a story where some fool unpacked his rig and repacked it(im guessing he was trying to show them that there was nothing explosive in it.) can you imagine what the 1,ooo of whuffos thought. remember they wont bust your balls. all they are looking for is safety and security of thier passengers. alright now before everyone gets all politically correct on me, let me just point out, you got the wrong guy. hahaha some whuffo saw the picture of the kid in the parachutists mag.(i forget which system its for) he asked me if the let kids skydive. of course i said..."they dont let them...they MAKE THEM! its the only way to keep people jumping!" haha but that brought i painful thought to my noodle.(painful only b/c it was a thought) why arent there any midgets in our sport? when you look at it, i'm surprised. y'know, they had migdet wrestling. even midget tossing. shouldnt midgets be part of our sprot too? i mean they could build LITTLE big-ways, they take up less space on the plane so you could get a lot more $$ out of a cessna if you own a dz. isn't there a migdet farm we can buy some and experiment with? we can break them in buy telling 'em we're gonna do midget tossing. but we wont tell emm we'll toss em at 13,500ft. i think this could bring alot of (UN)needed attention to our sport. and it'll be great to see the look on their little faces.
