hey i got a question for any body who a) went thru ANY certifying course b) any body who is going thru one now. how did it go? and do-over's i.e. i jacked up (can you believe) level 7. AND I GOT IT ALL ON VIDEO) i exited. and my whole screw up was not having a good heading. but i was trying to do my 1st back flip (non- symetrically) it's funny as hell to watch now but i was embarassed about it for awhile. how bout it anything you wanna get off your chest. i was kicking wiggling flopping around just trying to get over. my instructor(billy weber) docked at 7500 ft to stabilize me(although i never lost track of altitude, if you look closely you can see me tell him to hold on for a minute..with my pionter finger)but when i did that my arch was totally gone so he stabilized me. when i got on the ground, all humbled and what not. the camera guy(billy z) asked something about how was it (i think he was trying not to laugh his ass off, thanks billy) i said hey even though i didn't do what i was supposed to .I HAD FUN!! the thing is is that all my other levels were pretty damn good.i guess it was over confidence-lack of heading and experience. have fun, live free, SKYDIVE JT

well i guess that extra weight below our center of balance helps.(not that i can swoop yet...they're still growing ha ha) actually i think it has to do with statistics too. with the amount of woman compared to man in the sport the ratio prob'ly isnt THAT DIFFERENT, but the numbers are. i have no idea how factual that is but if you can't impress them with intelligence, baffle 'em with bullshit, right!! :D but if you can persuade more woman to join our world...i think a lot of us would be happy! i know some of the effects of a collapsable slider. but how does it effect the canopy ride? i believe it makes the ride more maneuverable. but what about speed,flare, landing? have fun, live free, SKYDIVE JT

it just seems that when you go to a new dz w/o a license and nodoy there is familiar w/ you...they make some $$ of you b/c you hafta do an instructoral jump. at least thats the impression i got. but now i dont have to worry. i will be applying for me b soon also(if i get to jump in texas) i have 43 jumps now. so i just gotta fill the req'ments. have fun, live free, SKYDIVE JT

there are about 69 wise ass comments i could make about that last question! tee-hee but to be quite honest. i think august 4th-5th would be a better bet. I'm not due back til LATE july i think i'll be pulling in(?) around july 27th. after driving from texas i think i may add 2 days to my trip and skydive on the way home. depending on my drive i may not want to be in the van for about a week. ya know. so if you wanna plan on the first through the last weekend of august...i'll be there.(well not the last weekend., i'll be an electronic memory by that time) >sob< (depression just set in a little more) just remember...somebody should be spanked! you? me? i will be VERY DEPRESED. that's what i'll do. seriously, im gonna concentrate on school and look into getting my pilots lisence. there is an aero-club a few hrs. north of where ill be.unfortunatly there is no sign of jumping though. if im lucky i'll get to jump from the military a/c once in a while. but i won't hold my breathe. i'll tell you one thing though...;i'll be logged onto dropzone.com A LOT!!! so keep posting and i'll see you here!! ;-) have fun, live free, SKYDIVE JT

mama-- I wish i had the time to get down to deland(or to any dz) but im about to ship out til the end of july/beginning of aug. then once i get back i'll ship out to korea for a year and...NOT BE ABLE TO GET HIGH ANYMORE!!! i think ive only got 3-6 jumpable weekends left.and that wont be til i get back from texas in aug( i will try to jump in dallas though but that isnt a guarantee) god i wish i lived close to a dz.
