I've noticed a lot of people here talking about guns, and Glocks in particular. Some other thread got hijacked with talk of full auto Glocks... So, I thought I'd post a little something for all you Glock nuts! And sorry if some of you don't like guns... : ) This first one is a full motion video of some guys rippin' off a few magazines. This video is of a regular Glock (looks like a 19 to me) that has an installed selector switch. Watch the video and notice when it shows a closeup of the gun that there is something hanging off the rear part of the slide. Thats the selector conversion. This conversion is of course illegal in the States, but apparently it is readily available abroad. http://www.punchbaby.com/media/gitfakt/clips/cool/glockauto.wmv This second video pretty cool... Slow motion clip of some schmoe thats firing a legit G18. Again, notice the slide, there is nothing back there hanging off. The selector on the G18 is on the other side of the slide. Hehe.. the first shot might have hit the target, but the rest of them were WAY high!!! It shows a close up, slow motion view of the G18 in action. Pretty impressive. Notice the vibration of the frame right under the tip of the barrel as the rounds rattle off. Yeah, thank goodness I live in the Heart of Texas where they jump year round. I plan on finishing AFF asap after the first of the year (or as soon as I get back. In Oklahoma on vacation now.) I've heard all the same about the leg straps. I too plan on making sure they are VERY nice and snug for my lvl 6.. Happy Holidays all and a new year too!

Thanks everyone... yeah, I'm not quitting anytime soon... Heh... I even got my dad to come down and jump an AFF lvl 1 a couple of weeks ago. He did it just for the thrill... but now he's trying to figure out when he can come down and jump a lvl 2!!! Hahaha... Good times. Merry Christmas everyone!

Yeah, I actually just completed my lvl 5 jump this past weekend... I'm loving it! Only one problem... STUDENT RIGS SUCK! Everyone keeps telling me that student rigs are "one size fits none" and boy do I know thats the truth... I posted a question in the gear and rigging forums for suggestions on leg strap pain. I seriously can't wait to get a rig that might actually fit better..

Hey all! Just wanted to say Hi to everyone! I should have started doing this when I was 18! What was I thinking? Doh! Thats right... all my money went to tuition and beer 5 years ago... Oops, did I say that? The beer of course didn't come until I was a proper 21 yrs of age. Anyway, Looking forward to getting to know everyone and hopefully jumping with some of you! Cheers!

So I just finished AFF lvl 5, and I have GOT to do something about these student rigs... these leg straps are KILLING me on opening, and continue tor hurt all the way down. Right on the inner thigh, all the way up to my crotch... And I'm pretty much riding on the webbing, and not the pad. Makes for a very painful and unenjoyable canopy ride. I know the whole student "one size fits none" jazz... but I've got to find a way to make these more comfortable, because god knows that I'm not going to quit! But god also knows that I won't have the money to buy my own rig (hopefully much more comfy) for another 6 months or so. Anyone have any suggestions?
