If you'd have spent the same amount of time working for McDonald's for minimum wage as you did in that tournament, you'd have $30.00 instead of .30. As a matter of fact you probably could have cruised the Walmart parking lot for pennies on the ground and made more in less time. Maybe you should consider the options?? Yeah, I was the jumper. I knew something was wrong at the time, but when I couldn't get back in because of the problems I still didn't realize how serious it was. Fortunately, or unfortunately, by the time I figured out what was going on, it was too late to be scared. Anyway, you did a great job saving us that day. And, for the record, my rig wasn't that terribly big, but it is tight in that cockpit. See ya there this year??!! Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

There was an old hobo named Dave, Who kept a dead whore in his cave, She smelled like shit, had only one tit, but look at the money he saved. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

I've ordered from Aerostore as well. I got my Rawa within 3-4 weeks and that was during the holiday season. I thought it was very reasonable. Definitely recommend them. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

I really don't think you're going to find a slightly tapered canopy with less riser pressure than the Spectre. I think the Spectre riser pressure is pretty light actually. People have listed many options. I like the Sabre2, Pilot, and Safire2 based on what you say you're looking for. I wouldn't rule out the Spectre either. It's a great canopy. Oh, by the way, it is also a slightly tapered canopy. If you're looking for a decrease in riser pressure and that's really what you're looking for, I don't think you're going to find it in these other canopies. The Neptune is a little thicker than the Pro-Track, but it's usually not a problem. You shouldn't have trouble fitting it into most helmets. As far as ease of use goes, the Neptune is also a hands-down winner. That's why I bought a Neptune. However, after going through four of them, none of them lasting as long as a hundred jumps, I got tired of sending them in and getting them repleaced. After Alti 2 sent my fifth one to me, I sold it, bought a Pro-Track, and haven't had a problem since. I had every problem you can imaginge, or it seems like it, with the Neptune. I just couldn't get one to last longer than a couple months. I will say that Alti 2 customer service was tremendous and I never had a problem getting resolution to the issues. I also know a lot of people that have never had a problem with theirs. Maybe it's just my dumb luck. Anyway, I'm happy with the Pro-Track, but I liked the Neptune better......when it worked. It sounds good, but who's going to regulate it? Who's going to inspect the bars' systems? What keeps a bar owner from claiming they have a system for the tax break but not really implementing a system. This sounds like a way for all of us to pay higher taxes to compensate for the tax breaks without anything really changing with the problem. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

Yeah, what they said. It won't be a problem. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

Like I said, each have their own opinions and that's fine. I seriously doubt Van Halen would've ever gotten off the ground without Eruption, or Eddie's genius renditions of You Really Got Me and Pretty Woman. I acknowledge that DLR added image and flair to the band that became famous, but for me it was never about the vocals or showmanship of whichever frontman, it was about the guitar, plain and simple. Other people liked other aspects and that too, is fine, Like I said in my original post, you can make an argument for many as the best of all time. The ones you listed are certainly all-time greats and I respect that list. However, IMO, I still think Eddie is the best. Anyway, it's just my opinion and nothing more than that. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

It just doesn't matter which frontman was there. Van Halen was about Eddie, he's the reason they made it and he's the reason he made it good. IMHO he's the best guitar player on the planet. Sure you could make an argument for several others, but that's my opinion. Some of the stuff he did when Sammy was in the band was absolutely incredible, not that the Roth era wasn't, but I think the Sammy era was better Eddie. Arguments over which lead singer in the band was better is for those that don't truly appreciate what really made the band great. I liked them both, but Eddie VAN HALEN, is what Van Halen is all about. So, as far as the vote goes...I abstain. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

Jay Stokes makes 641 jumps in 24 Hours? How?
nbblood replied to Psychoz's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
How long d'ya think it takes a Porter to get to 2k with only one passenger in it? Did make a breakdown of the average jump cycle for that day? Like; wheels up to exit X seconds, exit to feet on the ground y seconds, feet on the ground to wheels up Z seconds? I don't think it takes long at all. Neither does the PAC. I think a Blackhawk L would beat them both there though. And when we're talking about 2 minutes wheels to wheels, even a few seconds would make a big difference. I've been in a lightly loaded Blackhawk that got to 12K in 5 minutes. I'd say that's faster. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute. -

L model Blackhawks would be much faster. Lightly loaded, I doubt they'd take more than minute to altitude. They'd probably be slower coming down, but if there was 3 or more running they'd be significantly faster. However, cost and availablitly are factors that probably cannot be overcome in the near future. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute. -
Is your profile correct? 8 jumps? Mamba? If so, good luck with that. Am I missing something here? Seems like the purse would be much more useful in this scenario. Maybe I'm missing something. I hope so. edited: Ah, I guess I may have been thinking the wrong thing. I hope so. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

Duh! For the badge! Officers love their many badges! Yeah, I love them so much that I don't even bother to wear them. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

It's not really unbelievable at all. Deer do that all the time in reaction to the sound of the bowstring. At longer ranges it's relatively easy for them to "string jump" and dodge an arrow. It happens all the time. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

Just come to Spaceland, it's all good. Anyway, I think the link is set up with 1-800-SKYDIVE affiliated DZs which is why it takes you to Spaceland. That's not to be confused at all with Skyride, for the record. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

Need to know if im getting a good deal...... PLEASE!

The Smart reserve is made by Aerodyne, not PISA. PISA makes the Tempo. Which is it? That makes a big difference, at least to me. It kind of sounds to me like the seller doesn't exactly know what he/she has. Blues, Nathan Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute. -
That's who I thought it was too, bit I'm not 100% sure. I can find that out too, though. Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

I'm 5'11" and 180. I've had 3 custom Javelins and they are C-17 harnesses. It will probably be a little long on you, but would probably be OK. I've had people that are 5'5" and 160 use mine and it's fine. Not perfect but pretty good. A lot depends on your particular body structure.
