    I believe you're referring to the handle itself and not the deployment system. A pullout system is more than just the pud handle and the pud handle can be a throwout deployment system. Also, not all puds tuck into the bridle cover. The Wings does, mine does not. Mine (Javelin) stows exactly the same way the hackey does. It's just a different handle (pud vs. hackey). A pullout system, the pud pulls the main closing pin, the PC is stowed inside the container and is pulled out after the container is open. It's more than just the handle.     don't be, just go. you will have fun. I'm very skeptical and critical of the WFFC and even I believe that that's true. It'll be a good event. Will it be all that it has been in the past?     I love my Javelins. An option that isn't available on the Mirage is the spacer foam backpad. I have it on both of my rigs and I think that's one of the best features. Well worth it, IMO. Mirages are good rigs but I'm a little skeptical about the AAD cutter on the top of the reserve. Seems to me that it's something that the reserve has to go past on the way out the container.     I think it really depends on where you are. I have Cingular and it's the ONLY one that is reliable around here. It works well in Houston area too. Sprint completely sucks ass here, but is probably fine in Houston. I've had good luck with Verizon in lots of places in the past.     I think you drastically underestimate where Ogden draws from. Ogden draws just as much from SLC as Tooele does. Hill AFB is a huge factor too. Spent quite a bit of time at both. Also, if a 4-way were to do a training camp and also want to skydive, I'm sure they'd rather be where the caravan is rather than a king air. I agree with you there. I really don't think a tunnel in Utah is going to be as successful as others. Utah is surrounded by tunnels in Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada. I don't think it will draw the camps like those tunnels do. It's going to have to rely on the population base in and around Utah, and that's probably not good enough. I guess we'll see. I hope it works, but I doubt it will. (in any location). Perhaps the best place to put it would be in Lagoon parking lot. There it might work.     I'd say Ogden is pretty close to Ogden Skydiving Center. And Tooele a larger population base than Ogden? Not even close. Tooele might be a little closer to SLC, by maybe 10 minutes, but not significantly and Ogden is roughly 3 1/2 times as big as Tooele and has a college population as well. Tooele is closer to the airport, I'll give you that. Ogden also has large event facilities and the amusement park just down the road. Ogden is also very close to Hill Air Force Base and military bases are good customer bases for skydiving operations. I think Ogden is clearly a better choice than Tooele.     Read post #18 again. It's the best explanation of this particular situation. I live by this very same policy. I regularly allow soldiers to skip accountability formation to make flights that don't fit the schedule. All they have to do is let me know the deal so they are accounted for. It's no big deal. However, if someone just decided to blow it off.....now it's a big deal. This is WAY too easy to fix. If you run into any resistance, let me know.....I can fix this if you can't. Don't skip the formation without your chain of command's knowledge. It's not worth it. Edit: Oh, and read Katiebear's post too. Also, right on the money. Edit: Oh yeah, PM sent.     That's just flat ass embarassing! Freeflying should include flying on all axes, including belly. Tell them to learn, it'll do them a world of good. They don't need to be Airspeed, but basic belly skills are fundamentals. And a hybrid only requires, basic belly skills as far as hangers and stingers go.     I'm sorry you don't like the language, the industry simply can't afford to be tied up in legal actions and suits. It's better to be blunt and up front than try to sugar coat something. You're right. They DO care about safety. But it's still YOUR responsibility. Now, here's my point of view. The attached document is a draft of an enclosure to my last will and testament that specifically addresses skydiving. The final is very similar, notarized and included with my will.
