BASE2010

I say, the only time it needs to be put in a category for sure is when you want to use it to justify your BASE number. For BASE qualification, it should be easy to be SURE what you are jumping. If not sure, it is another jump. The "5 year old" rule should work for being sure, as will the "if it ends up a ..... then it is a ...." rule. If You know instinctively if it is a B or A or S or E then it can be used to qualify for BASE. Once you have your 4 objects "for sure, no doubt" then its another fun jump and you can put it where it fits best or under "O".

It doesn' matter. Just hang as much useless video machinery from wherever you want the only canopy you are jumping to entangle with. Video cameras have no place on a BASE jumper. But, then, I never agree with anything anybody does these days.

Ha! IF you didn't like that on again, what of this: Read a airplane strike a tower. So it did collapse. Now, if they built it new and you jump it again, is it now a new objet? See what this stirs up mother-H.

Its your logbook, so write what you want. But, if it is one of your 4 qualifying jumps for BASE umber, it should be exctly what it is supposed to be, not a crane "attached to a building", or a dam that is "like a cliff" or a pillar that is "technically jumped like an antenna". If it is a jump not for number qualification, then write what you want, as for me, if it isnt one of the 4 its an other.

What a waste. Must have not been planned that way. Too bad no jumper was able to video the jump portion from exit to landing. It could have been better as far as what was shown on TV. I am sure the guys who did the jump had a good one, but as for tv, I am glad i missed it and i sure wouldn't sit through any sports stuff just to see a base video - theres plenty of those around without putting up with american aggression narcotic.

Is this in fact the same guy tha the poster TREE mentioned on Blinc? Does he have any kind of jumps from than perrine? I was ther and seen his packing. He said he is doing a GAP proceure. What is this? Is he having any jumping experience befoe now? He seems sort of old for being base jumping, maybe he is not too curent ? Not to be bashing, but jus want to know jm

Well, I had to get used to NOT having B-12's and it wasn't a big deal. If someone can't get used to having B-12 snaps on their harness, then they got no place base jumping yet. It just takes more brains than going to a movie. Nothing against you tom, you do a great job posting, but we just don't need skydivig brain dead people coming into base. :)
