Ugh! Life is a four letter word!

Sorry guys, I wasn't watching my thread. Yes please CaTo, we'd love a camera woman for the record attempt. Do you fancy getting in on some formations also? The first two days of the organisation will include coaching and smaller formations working towards the big-way. We're aiming for a 16-way diamond but other records could possibly be within our grasp..oh, and not to mention the Captains Cabin CF Trophy for Big-way. Call, me wicked but I'd just love to see an all girl team swipe that trophy. I have just returned from Empuriabrava from organising the initial stages of the record attempt 2004. I can now confirm the dates as Thursday 28th Sept to Sunday 3rd October. I'm currently whipping up a little DZ enthusiasm, looking at sponsorship and also organising a wicked little fun-jump in the mountains followed by a wine-and-dine. I'll be posting more information in magazines etc within the next few weeks. I'm really looking forward to it! Life is a four letter word!

Yes but there aren't too many of us CReW kids around, are there? I wouldn't expect a shop to have an inhouse expert or even an inhouse 'barely-competent-just-lucky-so-far-200-jump-wonder-expert'...mores the pity. From my experience I wouldn't be surprised if I got a crucifix waved at me over the shop counter. This sport needs to be made more attractive, more sexy. Yes colours matter! So does good service! Life is a four letter word!

Now boys, just because I'm a girl doesn't mean to say that I put the colour of my canopy above and beyond its very important CF functions and attributions....(purple, Jade and White and it took me the whole weekend to decide that as poor Gary from the Empuriabrava shop can testify!!) Life is a four letter word!

OK, I'm not on commission for this particular PD dealer but they really impressed me and I have to share it since it might help out someone else in the future. I have been looking for a secondhand 126 PD Lightning for sometime but there's not much on the market. Eventually I decided to buy new but found most suppliers simply didn't have a clue how to deal with specific CRW terms such as 'trim', line length, 'tail pocket' etc and showed no interest in learning, indeed most seemed positively keen to avoid it. I was having a real rough time finding a supplier that I liked enough to give all that money to. I eventually bought my canopy from Empuriabrava DZ's shop. I hadn't thought of going through them before but got talking to Gary from the shop whilst on a long weekend in Spain and decided to at least get a quote. The two guys that took care of my order, Renier and Gary spent a lot of time with me, checking out the Lightning modifications and specs until I got just what I wanted. What they didn't know they went out of their way to find out and even double check with CRW instructors they knew. They were superb. The most impressive aspect was the price, they did me a very good deal. I know other female CF jumpers such as me probably have the same problem finding small canopies so I thought this might be a useful tip. I am very pleased to be the proud owner of a brand new PD Lightning 126 bought for a very reasonable price and with exceptional care and attention on the part of Empuriabrava's shop. Yes I had heard. That's really fantastic! A couple of us in Europe are currently working on putting together a Europewide training and record attempt for all female CF in 2004 with a view of preparing ladies for such ambitions. 16-way Diamond. Do you mind me asking where you are planning the World Record? SJ Life is a four letter word!

Thanks Wendy! I don't supose you know the record for Europe do you? I know so far for a diamond formation ladies in Europe set a 9way in Germany though I haven't heard anything about a stack formation. The reason I ask is that I know a British team are aiming for an 11-way later this year and just wondered... Life is a four letter word!

Does anyone out there know what the current record for an all female straight-stack canopy formation is either in Europe or the World? Life is a four letter word!
