I think there is a specialist doctor here on the forum somewhere. Didn't he do a feature on Skydive Radio about sinus issues? EDIT: Did some hunting. I found this very informative. Look here: http://www.skydiveradio.com/shows.htm Download episode 54. Which is described as: The discussion begins about 20 mins 40 secs into the show

Please, don't even get me started! Us and the rest of the world call it football. Just because someone of very low intellect on your side of the pond decided that a boring game which comprises throwing the ball with your hands, falling over having gained 6 yards and then having a nice break for 5 minutes after all that streneous activity should be called, of course, FOOTball. What the hell! Thats like calling fishing lioning. Q "Why is it called lioning?" A "cos we hunt for fish" You lot are weird... face it!

People who believe that what you believe is.... Oh I'm confused! It is true though. Most of the time in life the people that say "you can't do that, it might be considered racist, homophobic" etc are not actually those that should feel aggreived. Very often they don't see the problem! Its the panicking masses which are the reason we have to tip toe through life.

Is it wrong to use a taxi company to buy and deliver beers to your door!?

Yeah, we've evolved You can either have good ol' fish 'n' chips (or battered sausage and chips as I prefer) for about £2.50 or a pizza for about £15 -
People that go on about racism because they feel they MUST say something, especially in public, but probably really don't give a shit.

Hey, yeah they did work. It was a primitive type of early warning against incoming aircraft. I believe the quick advances of technology in wartime meant they were soon made obsolete with the introduction of RADAR http://www.soundmirrors.org/ http://www.ajg41.clara.co.uk/mirrors/dungeness.html

Thanks, I can't take credit for hardly any of them but the history on my doorstep is pretty incredible. One of those situations because its always been there you don't think much of it. Was nice to have a hunt around. A couple of the bunkers appeared to be accesible so might return sometime but prob need air fed masks.

Ahh, that one we can let slide as its spelt different here. It is Aluminium here... hence the extra syllable

Why the hell is he shouting all the way through it?

And some other history type pics but from different locations. 1) The sound mirrors at Dengemarsh. Primitive early warning against aircraft. 2) Me and a mate down one of Churchill's 'Secret Army' bunkers we managed to locate

Woman Forced to Act As Celebrity-Paparazzi Decoy by LAPD

You're right. Its the reason they made 'voluntary' searches illegal in the UK back whenever it was. Used to be able to ask people to show you what was in their bag or pockets etc. Of course most law abiding people would do so thinking if they didn't they could be in some kind of trouble even though there was no legal power to request such action from a member of the public -
We are not routinely armed over here so I would hope I wouldn't be sent to such a job! Leave that for the firearms boys in case it kicks off HOWEVER... If I was on your side of the pond I'd have no problem taking firearms off someone who had been found guilty of a violent act or was otherwise now deemed no longer suitable to possess a firearm. If it was a sweeping "remove firearms from the population" then I wouldn't be happy with that and I'd have to question how it would be lawful. In the police you cannot carry out an unlawful order and I've had many arguments with Sergeants & Inspectors who've asked me to do things I have considered to be unlawful.

After running for 6 months or so pretty consistently I've decided to push myself by entering some events. Little bit nervous but should be ok! Got a local 10km run coming up in February which I hope to beat 55 mins in and I somehow got talked into a half marathon in March... which is going to be a real test. I happily run 10kms at the moment (6.2 miles) but the thought of more than double that for the half marathon is a bit intimidating when I've never done more than 10kms previously. Time to train train train! Anyone else running through 2009?

I'm talking mechanical engineering.
