Thanks. I've ordered an I6 with 188 Pilot and 190 Smart. Used to have a Wings with Silhouette 210 so it will be interesting to see how compares. Here are my designs... ... and yeah. Something does look odd with the 3 ring assembly on the left riser, at least at the bottom anyway. Do you know what it is or can you provide a close up picture?

Have you got an Aerodyne Icon? If so post pics. Similar to the 'Got Wings?' thread. I'm paticularly interested to see what the larger ones look like, in my case an I6 as that's what I have just ordered. Some rigs look prettier than others in the larger sizes and others in smaller sizes. Thanks, Sam

Yeah, but I have seen exactly what I described also. What you also have to remember is whilst someone might be a great skydiver and well regarded in our community, in the real world they are a nobody. Your not making it seem anymore attractive by giving an example of a woman who lived in poverty until she started to make a decent wage.

I don't think its good for the sport when some dirtbag rolls out of their trailer stinking of booze from the night before wearing dirty old clothes because they can't afford to buy new ones and then introduces themselves to a member of the public as their cameraman or instructor. I like the camaraderie but I wouldn't give up my career to 'live the dream'. It did come across that because the OP doesn't want to follow the DZ bum lifestyle he is in someway not committed enough to the sport. Each to their own I say... everyone calm the hell down

Must have been a fresh experience then!

So you don't think I'm making stuff up: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/DriverLicensing/EndorsementsAndDisqualifications/DG_10022425 Its the same with racing licences too. You have to get the application "endorsed" by an instructor to obtain them... yet if you get yourself in trouble and end up in front of the clerk of the course they can "endorse" your licence as well... but not in a good way. -

Endorsement It can mean some sort of confirmation or credit but can also mean some sort of penalty imposed. ie. can you endorse my application please VS. to have endorsements on your licence -
GOD BLESS AMERICA *waves flag* I personally think that ever since their unbelievable shame of sitting out the beginning of WW2 they are over compensating by intervening in every minor skirmish around the globe now. Kind of like how a repressed homosexual oozes machismo

The amusing thing is even if a well known criminal is caught with a knife the courts still don't have the balls to give them a decent punishment. [/gripe] Anyway, lets not turn this into an SC thread!

Yeah they do taste of piss! I can't eat anything with liver or kidney in. If you have to have a hot pie, chicken and vegetable is the king. And no I don't carry a pocket knife because multi-tools are shit and knives with a useful blade are illegal here. Filthy stinking rozzers! Oh... wait....

Opinel are the best.

People buy shadow racers because they are cheap. Not my cup of tea but they certaintly aren't dangerous!

Looks sweet Tony. Any chance of a rodeo!? That would be an amusing sight

If you read the books "Bravo Two Zero" by Andy McNab and "The One That Got Away" by Chris Ryan they are great versions of the famous patrols situation. I got most of their books and I managed to get a signed copy of one of Andy McNabs

The best program I watched like that was "Hunting Chris Ryan". It was only a small series. Four episodes I think. Ex-SAS soldier basically doing Escape & Evasion with so called highly trained hunter forces after him. Mostly filmed by himself with a camcorder but every now and again links in with camera crew. Was great to watch. They are all on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=hunting+chris+ryan&search_type=

I too couldn't vote. The options are both at extreme ends. Current search powers are more than adequate in my opinion. Interesting side note, recently had an incident with a man with a knife who punched an old lady in the head and threatened to kill 3 kids (approx 9 years old). All I can say is I'm glad we got there quick enough. One day we may not. The right of a reasonable person without convicition to carry a firearm would have been useful here. I would definately carry if allowed. I think it will happen just not right now. I'm 100% certain we will see the routine arming of police officers during my career.

I'm assuming hair must act like a timeline. Like how a seismograph records activity. Would that mean if you cut your hair short enough you could *wipe* history?

Looks like you are going to be shaving your head then!
