  1. 6K I'm headed that way in about 9 to 12 yrs. Good luck.
  2. I have thought alot lately about where am I going with my jumps. The answer is streight down, every time. This looks like something I could eventually progress to, never know you might see me at one of the comps one day. it sure does look like a ton of fun. hahahahahahaha, I crack myself up. What about the terminal speed at deployment, to slow down fromm 200+ from 6K tricky. I'll be looking into it, know anybody in south central Fl who I can talk to? thanks D-4digit
  3. Sounds like fun and easy enough. There has to be a catch. My avg belly speed 145 to 180. i brok 200mph the other day in a sit, I thought that jump went quick then I checked the PT, Well it sure did. Tell me more. I read the rules still has to be more to it. If I went head down i'm sure 200 + won't be a problem.
  4. When did you become a crashing bore to fellow skydivers? I see this attitude, but I also see other DZ's and DZO with what looks like to me what i'm talking about. They have boogies, fly there planes thousands of miles/ well hundreds, to keep this sport alive. I'm not so glad to see a handfull of jumpers who have been around for some time and who have so many jumps look at this in such a manner. We can agree to disagree someone lock this thread already
  5. Douva, Heel just keep going and going. agree to disagree, and in a couple of years we can all sit down and have a beer and laugh about it.
  6. FA2, I would say this is not a something so badly issue anymore as much as it's become a debate. but, as you can see a few more have jumped on the load. This whole point of view has started for a reason, some of us would like to see this sport/hobbie whatever grow, with the hopes that it will bring more money to the industry, association etc. We already have the issues incedents, and if ten-K more people get into the sport and the incedents double, it's just a numbers game then.
  7. Years ago I wanted to open a bar with a few buddies. This says it all: The licker box, liquor box
  8. With a smile like that how could you go wrong. Move on keep smiling
  9. Since your New I also highly recomend Never ever ever say first, unless you like buying beer for everyone. During these first 100 jumps you might just want to buy stock in what ever the flavor of choice is, TX That could very well be JD Have a great time.
  10. Helicopter jumps are so much fun, get done with those aff jumps so you can get on one. They are highly recomended.
  11. Not at all, Thanks HOOK. Tomorrow I'll jump although I'm still on the watch list. I kinda miss not being talked to on a daily or per load basis.
  12. Yep, Your right. But since I'm jumping again, I like to know whats going beforew I get there. But, it's not ghonna stop me from checking it at manifest when I get to where ever it is I'll be. Besides it's somtimes nice to see whats going on in manifest. Thanks to all again. You rock Dave, new I could count on you. Whats up Jib jumpin tomorrow first load at 10:00 am 10 tandems, aff students, and Danno's spotting
  13. Thanks Dave, everybody. New I could count on you. Now, how do I find out the names of what ever airport or DZ I may be jumping at or near? I mean the names are easy but the 3 letters don't always add up.
  14. Thanks, but how about winds aloft for dummies. I pulled that up earlier can't make anything out of it.
  15. Maybe one of you fellow jumpers know. How can I pull a winds aloft report, so I can know before I go to the DZ,where ever Im at.
  16. Your to much, and like usuall my wife is mad at me for something you did, ohh it's all my fault This is becoming a good thread. Thanks for the laugh
  17. Here one I practice. If you argue, argue nakid, it doesn't last to long.
  18. There you go again, insert foot in mouth. go mainstream so the world will admire us. NO We admire each other, why not bring the rest of the world in on our enjoyment. And YES more loads, at least you got that right. This is not an ego thing, this is a promotional thing, a couple of people would like to see a more positive aspect of skydiving , a couple don't. Lets agree to disagree. leave it at that.
  19. RIGHT ONN! Now question is does she skydive, My wife doesn't, yet.
  20. Not a good reference, drop me right on to an old post form CM, DZO,REP. almost asking the same question, and giving the same answers. I met him last year and to me he is the apitimy of skydiving. ALL ABOUT IT. now could he have sold canopies, traveled to boogies, or ran a DZ if it weren't for newbies coming into this sport. Lets say perhaps it dropped 50% of new jumpers comming over 5 years. where would we be. I'm just gonna leave it at this. my opinion is your wrong, you should want more people, Every tandem I see I say congratulations are you coming out next week for the AFF. Do you on the other hand say thanks for your money and supporting our DZ now get the f*ck out and don't come back. I hope not, but the way I read your posts sound s like that. I say tomato, you say tomato. Lets keep playing the game.
  21. We have gone back and fourth with this issue, pro&con. look at those high profile DZ's. always slammed, when you get there whats your first thought Ohh yea I'm getting on a bunch of loads today,or this weekend. You don't get there and say doh whacko whuffos, my out look on this is more people more loads. Now phree you may be right and my views may change in a few years after a coupl thousand jumps but I like to pull up to DZ's like Z-hills, and any other DZ and see a crowd, how about if you pull up to your DZ and theres 3 people looking up at the sky, and you know you could use some isp students or who ever to make the load. I'm sure you have to have a coach rating by now, you'll get to teach the philosophy of phree and the proper way to a grasshoppa, that doesn't apply to just you but all skydivers, not all want to coach , I'm sure all want to jump.
  22. Lets get back to the basic question, and give it a transition. HOW CAN WE MAKE SKYDIVING MORE LUCRATIVE? I'm Inn, than all you haters will be thanking me and Jonathan one day, AIR WORLD A PLACE TO SKYDIVE
  23. We are the whacko's. I would say I don't agree with you guys, on the part of every kid hook a turn inn, we are those kids, BUT WE LEARNED YOU DON'T JUST GO OUT THERE AND DO THAT. Some learn the hard way, others learned the hardest. I say bring it, every wanna be extreme sportist, come on do isp, aff, and guess what, it's our job to conduct ourselves as senior jumpers and make sure we look out for low number jumpers. Not act like fools, as in belligerant drunk, drug addict hippies, like someone said up there( not exactly but close) there's your human life and reputation of the sport. The beginning is here and it's been here for a long time. you might wanna think that it should be the end of the party atmosphere, and purify this sport, Like the lucrative expectation of this sport and purification may go hand in hand, you have jumpers partying like maniacs you will get swooperX at 20 jmps hookin it inn and take a nice mouthful of dirt more often then not. don't get me wrong I'm not saying we are all a bunch of bang ups, but we do need a good kick inn the ass every now and then. YOU ARE A SENIOR SKYDIVER TO SOMEONE AND YOU SHOULD ACT ACCORDINGLY. ( and thats for all jumpers)
