thanks for the insight guys! i jumped the samurai last weekend and really loved it- just wanted to see what people who have jumped both thought... it sounds like the vengeance openings are pretty twitchy and i loved the way the samurai opened and that's something that i look for in a canopy so i think i'll be playing with the color scheme and buying one this week :) ~ * Life Has No Rules * ~

I know there are lots of threads on this but I've tried to sort out all the info and I figured I might as well ask again, especially since a lot of the info is old and I'm not sure if there have been mods since then. I've read from posts that the Samurai flies "smaller" than the vengeance. Does that mean faster, or more responsive, or both? Also, some posts say that they are very similar whereas others say that the Samurai is more aggresive. Thoughts? Thanks!

Ah, so now I'm more confused than ever! I always figured that if I had a pilot chute in tow, I would reach back and pull the pin- but that doesn't seem like a good idea anymore! ~ * Life Has No Rules * ~

So if your pilot chute is in good shape and everything was routed well and you had cocked it when packing, but it still got knotted up in your burble and you reached back and pulled the pin, would that still result in a horseshoe? Would the drag from the pilot chute, even though knotted, be enough to pull the bag and canopy out? ~ * Life Has No Rules * ~

Skydiving for health and fitness?

I think everyone's made great points about the mental health benefits. Skydiving is one of the few sports that is a full day event. While you're obviously not jumping the whole day, you're definitely not sitting in front of your couch watching tv and munching on food. While skydiving doesn't directly make you more healthy, it puts you in an environment where cell phones and email and couches and tv's don't fit... and I think that helps a lot. ~ * Life Has No Rules * ~ -
