Fahrenheit 9/11, or why Mr. Bush has won the elections…
eUrNiCc replied to Mikki_ZH's topic in Speakers Corner
If the movie slandered Bush in any way, don't you think SOMEONE would've sued Moore. If someone made a movie about me that was full of lies that represented me in a bad light, i'd damn sure sue them. The movie definately has a very liberal slant, and Moore is the first to admit that it isn't completely fair... But at least he admits it, whereas Fox "fair and balanced" News swears off any bias Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age. -
Woohoo! Juanesky is coming too! It'll be great to see you guys again, and to roll a big-fat tube out of the CASA. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Is anybody coming to Joe's show tonight at the Local 506??? Come on, for once he's playing a bar with a cool crowd! EVERYBODY COME! Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

I drop my knees and look down right before pulling. I'm afraid that if you look up and watch the canopy open, linetwists can hold your head back behind the risers, and if you have to chop, the risers will go flying past your helmet. If you look down and your head is pinned forewards by linetwists, you're in a better position to kick out of them, you can see your handles, and if you cutaway the risers will just fly off behind your head. What are other people's opinions? Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

^Hey matt, I'm glad to see you back in the air man! You should be able to knock out some jumps now that your arm is better and you're done with all the expensive jumps. rejoice! Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Are there any advantages to a FFX besides the lack of snag points? Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Yeah... maybe he'd backtrack a little straighter with a nice aerodynamic mohawk to act as a keel Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

hehe... yea brian, it was a fun ride. I think when Nadia gets back, we need to lead a tracking dive wingsuit rodeo style. I figure that Nadia and I have the combined wieght of about 235lbs, and i figure that we should have a fallrate somewhere around normal tracking speeds . But yea... I'd definitely encourage anyone who's got 200 jumps and has a good stable track to give it a try at the Thanksgiving boogie! I hope you guys had fun at the show this weekend, I'm sorry i couldn't make it. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

^hmm.... care to extrapolate on that? Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Hi...my name is Jason and I'm an Addict.
eUrNiCc replied to WeakMindedFool's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Hi... my name is Eric, and I have a problem... I did my first two wingsuit jumps this week on a Classic that Pete Luter was kind enough to loan me. My first jump was with Larry Strayhorn. We managed to keep it good and tight and fly along for about a minute and a half (my neptune didn't record the freefall time or speeds for some reason). It's definately the coolest feeling ever to get out of the otter, then watch it pass you on the way down! My second jump was a solo. I exited 2.5nm past, flew up the flight line for a little while, then headed back downwind towards the DZ because i felt like i was way too far out to make it back. I floated along, trying to max out the suit for what seemed like forever... i ended up getting back to the DZ by 6000 ft, so i turned back upwind and away from the canopy traffic, and flew it down to 4500. When i got to the ground, i looked at my neptune and thought it had to have screwed something up... 118sec ff 60mph avg 12k 78mph 9k 63mph 6k 49mph Do those numbers seem on par for a classic1? I can't wait to do some more jumps and graduate to one of the big-boy suits. In the meantine if anyone's trying to sell a GTI or skyflier for a 5'7'' 135lb guy, let me know Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age. -
^^^Yea... no kidding... i had to wash my jacket twice to get the pee smell out. Luckily the jacket was covering up my camera equipment, none of that stuff got wet. ^^Gimp, do you know about how many BM's are coming?? I thought i heard a rumor that ScaryPerry will be there with demos. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

That's from this week's newsletter. I'm not sure what the deal is with the turkey dinner, you might want to contact Nancy or Bud at CSS for that info. BirdMan will also be there with demos, I'm not sure if any other gear manufacturers will be on hand, but i'll try to find out. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

People... people... There's PLENTY of Eric to go around So i went to the DZ after class to sneak in a wingsuit jump and just barley got there in time to hop on the otter for the last load. So i get out at 14,100 and turn back towards the DZ. I see that I'm waaay the heck out past the concrete pond (about 2.3NM from the peas according to the DME). I start flying back towards the DZ thinking I might have to pull high to make it back... everything's eerily quiet. There's one nice little cloud halfway between me and the DZ, so i start tracking towards it just to see if i can buzz alongside it (By this time, the only tandem on the load was open and well past and below the cloud). I buzz past the cloud and before i know it I'm on top of the DZ, and still at 6000ft... WTF...So i turn back upwind and fly back up towards the beauty shop and pull at 4500. After enjoying the nice long canopy flight and getting back on the ground I had a look at my Neptune & thought it had to be screwed up again... 1min58sec freefall. Avg. 60mph Min 49mph That was the coolest damn thing ever. On that note.. i REALLY hope the forecasts for tomorrow are wrong... Eric neds more crack! Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Damn... if only the collegiate boogie wasn't 2 weeks afer nationals. I can't drive to FL every other weekend. BTW... go gators! Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Nope... the wingsuit is my excuse to sit in the relative comfort and warmth of the front of the CASA. 4-way really is fun, and I'm doing it to represent UNC. I'll try to get a UNC freefly buddy trained up for 2005's Collegiates! I think I need to get a modified frappe hat that allows for mohawk docks!.. hmm... Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

^Woohoo! Count me in! Ahem... for those of you who don't know what we're talking about, please see the video... http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=1740 Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

THANKS for the HISPA number guys! woohoo! I'll be at the thanksgiving boogie... hopefully jumping wed-thurs, practicing 4-way with the collegiate team (sorry FF'ers ), and working the weekend. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Regarding the base rig thing... does the bottom of the container PC pouch rest in about the same place as a traditional rig? I see that this particular suit has a Base PC pouch on the leg, and it looks like it would be near impossible to grab the BOC given the positioning of the wing. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.
