The weather this week has definitely been S%@T! At least it's supposed to clear up for freefly friday. I need to shoot a chase sequence over the weekend for class. If any of you folks have a crazy idea for a chase sequence of some kind or wants to star in a student film, let me know Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

I as well had an awesome time at bridge day! Congrads to everyone involved for making it a fantastic and safe day of jumping despite less than ideal conditions. Jason, what is the current state of the effort to get the bridge legalized every day? Who are the authorities involved that would be able to grant us permission to jump the catwalk? Are we in any type of position to start petitioning and harboring support, or do you or anyone else already have a plan set forth to get the ball rolling? Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Jason, I was running up and down from the exit point to the landing area trying to keep tabs on Szabi and Akos. We were all at the after party at the Holiday Inn partaking in the free beer and pizza, asd watching the premier of Continum 2. The whole trip got me really really interested in BASE. Let me know if you're headed out sometime and need an extra cameraperson or anything like that. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Mike, I'm sorry i missed your 100th man. It sounds like you had a whole lot of fun without me though! I wish i could've been there to partake in the lunacy. Bridge day was really cool. BASE is a really really neat thing to watch, and a really awesome community as well. I've really got the itch to go jump off a bridge somewhere! Unfortuntely the weather was CRAP (40 degrees, rain/sleet, windy!) so i wasn't able to get very much footage. Szabi has the tape from the weekend, as well as some really cool pictures. There may or may not be an arrest warrant out for Szabi in West Virginia. You'd be amazed at what constitutes reckless driving in that state. I'll be out this friday with the new BK safire! See you all there. There are a few regular jumpers here at the University of North Carolina. We have about 6 regular jumpers, and a few trying to work their way through IAF. Anyhow, I'll be at Collegiates this year with our 4 way team, and if i can afford it I'd like to get on a pick up freefly team, or maybe compete in sport (swoop) acc. If i'm lucky i'll have a Birdman suit by X-mas. Are any other birdmen/ladies going to collegiates? Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Sorry I'm going to miss your 100th Mike. I'll make it up to you soon by getting video of some jumps. I should have a working camera helmet of some sort in the next few weeks :) You see Marion, the reason the hybrid worked is because i went NO LIFT! Hahaha... it's ON... COMBAT SPEEDSTAR! And yea... after watching the video in slo-mo a couple times, it looks like it would be possible to cartwheel the entire formation and keep it together. I think it's a matter of the first hanger (Marion) corking out with enough momentum to get everything upsidown, and then the second hanger (me) doing a big layout with enough momentum to carry his half of the formation all the way over the top. I wonder what would've happened if we'd all held on? Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.
