Regardless of whether the legal issue was already "put aside" talking to the FAA is about it is dumb. Try some people skills. It could have been handled internally........SELF-Policed as you said. It doesn't sound to me like said jumper told Tweek to piss off?!?!? It doesn't sound like he said F-U I'll do what I want!??! So why take it to some FAA drone?!!? YEah, 55 jumps is probably not the best time to start jumping BASE rigs out of planes. Stuffing that BASE canopy in a skydiving rig and jumping the shit out of it like I think this person wants to do is highly recommended in my books. It shows some dedication. SabreDave

Nope! In Canada we don't need no stinkin TSO or no stinking dual parachute containers! If the DZO says go, BASE gear with belly mount is fine....actually even without the belly mount except that goes against CSPA's BSR's. SabreDave

Two things can spice up your parachuting life. Wingsuit, very cool, lots'o fun. Number two, try a totally different angle....get a BASE rig. It will take a very long time to get bored with that! I am in year 16 of skydiving and a couple of years ago I got down on it. Was tired of the same shit etc.... Got A BASE rig and was excited once again. Yes, Iknow this is not skydiving but it is an inbred cousin if you will of skydiving. Then, for unknown reasons, after a year of BASE and hardly any skydiving all of a sudden I found myself really enjoying skydiving again. Now I have both to keep me happy and occupied. Oh, well if you read it in such a high quality vessel of world news it MUST be true!! If you really believe what you read in a newspaper to be true and without error you don't have a sniff! Everytime they write a story about skydiving or BASE jumping, their info and statistics are almost always off. They get some of it right but more often than not they fuckit up.
