  1. Quote It was over Wellington Oh, in 1972, I know this because I was there and we used my dads place for the landing site instead of our normal DZ. The jump was from 12500 out of a C185. Bill Cole used almost all this to get the chute. He was a good guy but not so good at RW. There were 2 safety jumpers with extra d-rings and risers to hook up if something happened, like a premature opening for the man who went base with Bill's chute, or if he lost hold of it in freefall.
