Hey all, I had my hard drive crash on me and I lost a bunch of stuff. I need to work on my resume and I can't find my Microsoft Office 2003 disc. I have my serial, but need a copy of the disc. I can't wait for Microsoft to send me a replacement. Anyone have the Full Porfessional version that they are willing to let me download? Otherwise I am screwed and Can't send out my Resume on Monday.

Let's see.... 1. Age 6 stopped breathing (unknown reason) Rescue breathing to the hospital and a few days later released. 2. Age 8 fell off a 15' slide and landed on my head. KNocked out but otherwise fine (other then my mental issues now) 3. Age 13 thought pipe bombs were a great idea and after a few sucessful attempts one went off too fast (short fuse?) Caught a few pieces of shrapnel in the face. Actually had a piece work its way out after a few years. 4. Age 22 On my 4 wheeler just hit a nice jump and a small dune buggy crossed in front of me while I was in the air. Unable to avoid it I hit it and landed approx 40' from the impact. 3 days in the post critical care unit. Walked away in one piece. 5. Age 23 stabbed in the leg by some drunk at the bar. 6. Almost bit it doing a 120mph stand up on my sport bike. Some how managed to save it. 7. Age 33 had line dump on deployment and the opening shock knocked me silly. Next thing I know the guy I was doing a freefly with is in my canopy and we are spinning wildly. He cut away clean and when I cut his lines were tangled around my right ankle. I had to cut them away and once clear I was able to go for my reserve. After recovering my canopy the rigger found 6 broken lines, the stitching on one of my risers had blown out and my Stiletto 150 (with only 125 jumps) had multiple tears the biggest of which was about 3 feet long. Everyone that saw it said there was no way I should have walked away from it. My only injuries was a sore neck/back and some abbrasions on my ankle. So unless I forgot a thing or two then I am still 2 to the good.

I jumped the bi plane a few times at X-Keys. Always enjoyed it. Heres a video I took the first time I jumped it a few years back. It was fun having him loop it and hanging from the wing. http://living2extremes.com/images/biplane.wmv

i1tojump replied to i1tojump's topic in The Bonfire
OKay, It seems that it's down to the three that people have mentioned. Now, which one? I changed my mind. I will be there this weekend. Now, who wants to show me a good time this weekend? -

Heading to NC this week. Which DZ should I visit?
i1tojump replied to i1tojump's topic in The Bonfire
I am heading to NC next Wednesday as a stop over on the way to Florida. I want to jump in NC for a few days and camp at the DZ. Which is the best one to visit? I want the total experience..Good jumping, fun people and great parties. So help me out with where and why. -
I am thinking about going to X-Keys this weekend. I am starting on my cross countrytrip friday and since X-Keys is my home DZ I might was well start off there. It's always a great time and the people are great. Even if it rains all weekend, you can still expect to make friends, party and have a great time. Maybe I will see you there.

I am doing the same thing. I recently resigned from my job, got out of a long term relationship and decided that I need to get away from New Jersey for a while before I go insane. So I am packing up my SUV and heading out Friday. I have no real plans set, but I am goingto travel from DZ to DZ, jump, camp, meet people and find myself. I hope to start out heading southto Florida and then to the west coast, looping back hitting the central states and a few northern. I figure I will be gone for a month maybe more. I will be going alone (since no one I know can just take off with me), which is good and bad. So, not to steal this thread..But, anyone fun who wants to invite me to hang out or whatever feel free to give me a shout. Skyspirit, if you want to split gas you can catch a ride with me.

It was said before but, listen to your instructors that watch you jump all the time. Guidelines are just that, guidelines. When I first started jumping I was 180 without gear and in student status I started out with student gear with a 230 main as I progressed through training my instructors kept down sizing me until I was jumping a 190 when i completed AFF level 7. Now I did spend a lot of time on the ground asking questions, watching and paying attention to any adive the instructor could give. I completed all my AFF levels on the first attempt and (Knock on wood) to this date only had 2 landing where I have not stood them up. By jump 30 I wanted to buy my own gear and after talking to the instructors that knew how I was under canopy and jumping one of thiers a few times I was signed off to purchase and jump a Sabre 150. I jumped that for about a hundred jumps. I learned that canopy and practiced as many scenarios as I could that may possibly come up and knowing how your canopy will react can and will eventually save your life. I now have slightly over 200 ram air jumps now and my instuctors cleared me to purchase and jump my current set up which my main is a Stiletto 150. I know that if I asked on here or went with the guidelines that no one in thier right mind would recommend me jumping this without knowing my abilities. I even have to have a letter from my home DZ instructors saying that I am qualified to jump the Stiletto when I travel to new DZs. (Found that out the hard way when I showed up to a new DZ and they wouldn't let me jump my rig because my #'s were too low) So in ending, everyone is different and only those who are experienced and watch you jump can help you make a proper choice that you will enjoy, learn on and be safe on. So, good luck and ask your questions from those who know you and your abilities and hopefully at the end of the day everyone goes home safe and sound.

Question about canopy control schools
i1tojump replied to i1tojump's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I am looking into taking a canopy control course in the very near future. I want to polish up on the fundamentals and learn advanced piloting skills the right way. My question is this. Which school do you think is the best to go to and at that school any recomendations on which instructor to request. I plan on paying for 1 on 1 instruction and traveling to where the school may be. The only requirements on the travel I want is that it is in the US and prefer the east coast but that's subject to change if the best place is elsewhere. So hit me up with your suggestions. Thanks. -
It has always been my dream to jump onto the beach near my home, so my main goal is to hit 500 jumps this season and get my D license. Mainly because I want to get in on the Wildwood, NJ boggie which requires a D license. Tough goal, but I plan on trying to make it happen...Safely that is!
