What I've always done if I want to go increase my fall rate really fast is stand straight up and raise both arms straight up. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

I think dropzone.com is the wrong place to ask this question. People can only give you an answer on here based on your jump numbers, not on your flying skills. If you could find it...i did a post about me switching to a crossfire2 119 at 220 jumps or somewhere around there. My wingloading would only be 1.25:1, and people still kind of told me I was an idiot for doing it. Once i got the canopy, I was really suprised at how fast it flew. I knew that I wasnt going over my skill level, but it was probably getting there. A 1.4 wingloading at 200 jumps is a bit much, possibly even too much. You could probably handle it, but just be careful. Be ready for a lot of negative response on here, people are going to look at 200 jumps with a 1.4 wingloading. If you do get the canopy, just be VERY careful, its an awesome canopy and is very fun to fly around, but take your time on it and don't rush into things. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

I agree! Style can be way overrated. But it just seems like the "style" now is going tighter. Its kind of like belly flyers a long time ago. Remember how everyone had the big jumpsuits for bellyflying "way back then" and look at them now. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

Yeah check out all the um...nice (sarcasim) comments about this guy on skydivingmovies.com, I dont think that many people like him. Basically the guy pulls his cut away handle, then the instructor dumps his main, and he gets his reserve out. On T.V. though, its not his fault at all, nope its the gears fault. "They never train you what to do if the canopy just disappears" but, then again, when do they train you to pull your cutaway handle first? And whats with the powerlines, its not like they were everywhere, did he not think to just turn the canopy? If your in a good mood...i suggest not watching this video, it always makes me mad. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

Has anyone noticed the trend of the old baggy freefly suits going away now? It seems more like people are switching to tighter fitting jumpsuits. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

I know someone at our dropzone that has 22 cutaways in 2700 jumps. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know-- -
My goal in freeflying is to move on to head down flying. I took my time and waited until i perfected my sitflying and standing. This isn't really a freefly goal, but I want to give a lot back to the sport this year by helping out students. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

What year Javelin is that? I have seen older javelin flaps come open in freefall, but rarely do I ever see a new javelin do that. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

Wow, I dont really agree with that at all. That sounds a lot like what my whuffo friends say when i bring up skydiving..."what so hard about that...all you do is fall and then open you parchute and land." They dont understand that theres a lot more to it like freeflying and high performance landings. Whenever you feel like the rush has gone away and need to challenge yourself, try somethin new like freeflying or CRW (not that i recomend CRW to anyone ) but just learn something new. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

I waited until i was able to easily fly into an 8 way and turn a few points. For me, that was about jump 110. I think its very important to get belly flying down. We used to have a guy come out back when there was maybe 2 freefliers at our dropzone and he could only sitfly. In fact, I had to chase him around to get into a 2 way (RW) with him. I think its important to learn and be good at both. If you travel to a smaller DZ where people get a puzzled look when you mention freeflying, you want to be able to go out and make a good RW jump with them. I just think its good to be able to go do a hot 4 way RW with people, then on the very next jump, go do a hot 4 way sit fly. All in all, freeflying is fun, and looks really cool But dont forget how it all started. Some of the best freefliers in the world are also some of the best belly fliers in the world. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

Yeah i have the latest update. But, i think its like you and aggiedave stated, it was out of a cessna and just didnt register because of the slow speed. I will start switching it manually now. Thanks for all the ideas!

I was making a jump with my new neptune digital altimiter the other day (4th jump on it, my first hop and pop on it) I did a hop-n-pop from about 4500 and was going to delay down to 3000ft. agl, i kept watching the neptune waiting for it to change (i was counting in my head to make sure i didnt go low though) but it never changed over to freefall mode. Has anyone else had this problem? Does it have to reach a certain speed before it switches over or something? It didnt worry me to much because i know how long of a delay it takes, but it would be nice if it would switch over. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

Indiana weather has been teasing us. Last week it went up to 65, then the very next day the high was only 30. Oh well...not much we can do. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

Yeah look for the insurance to go up for sure. I just had a friend total his truck by hitting a light pole yesterday...i was about 50 yards from it, he's only had his license for about a month. Think his insurance will go up? --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

Yeah i noticed that too....i always figured that staying on rears as long as you could would result in a much longer swoop. I was really suprised to see how far he went in deep toggles! That was REALLY AWESOME! --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know-- -
I know...i dont know how many times I will send a message and not get a reply, I try at least twice...then after that i give up. People should really at least reply and let us know that they have already sold it. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

Hey...I recognize that plane...cuz we own it now! Good pic though! --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

I got to try it out last weekend!!! Man what a fun canopy to fly around! The openings were so much better and smoother than my old sabre2 was. I love the performance of it. Its very responsive...but it still feels easy to fly. My jumps went like this. First we did a FF jump and i pulled at about 4500. I got to play some (but not nearly as much as my sabre2...the thing comes down! I LOVE IT) I got the feeling of "omg im goin fast!" I mainly flew it in breaks...checked the stall point, tested out how fast it turned, rear riser stalled it. The next jump i did a hop-n-pop from 6500. The reason i didnt go all the way up is cuz it was about 25 degreese at full altitude. I really played with it. Did some toggle turns, did some more flares, did front riser turns then flared...just like i would if i was swooping, checked alitimiter during the whole time. Both times a brought the canopy straight in nice and easy. I had such a fun time flying it around, its such a fun canopy. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--

Yeah...its taking me several tries to finally get on. Its getting pretty annoying...does it have anything to do with the new BETA version? --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
