My family swears I'll kill myself if I continue...
emtff553 replied to rokitmom's topic in Introductions and Greets
I would say skydiving is generally safer than alot of everyday activities. My mother thinks that i'm crazy I tried getting her to go to our DZ to watch us and see that is is not as bad as she thinks it is. But she would not do it. The other day she called me and she was at the dropzone watching other people jump for 3hrs. She now says she will go with me one day. Try and get them to go watch when you are not jumping it's less stressful for parents to watch when their son/dtr is not up there. -
Give ur 2 weeks notice then see if u can get a job at a dropzone

It will be the best thing u have ever done go to your local dz and they can answer all ur questions and get you started have fun

The way I look at it is 2-3 jumps monthly is much better than no more jumps I haven't jumped all winter and every Sunday i have wanted to jump lately either the weather was bad or something came up but I can't see myself never jumping again. Don't give up on something u love

I know u too silly

Ask her if we can continue this discussion later I don't want to miss the next load. If she is still there when I land she can't mind too much. But to answer your question skydiving hands down.

I hear ya on how expensive it is but outside of selling ur organs and everything u own, u will need some type of income part time job will do. I believe u have 30 days between jumps b4 u have to do a refresher granted it will take longer but you have that time to save $$, sacrifice on things that u normally spend money that u can do without. Remember it gets cheaper once u have your gear and finish AFF.

Thanks I can do the sponge thing. It is finally getting warm enough to jump again This Sunday I will be going back. Still get the butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it but I know I will be ok once that door opens

Newbie( first tandem wtf???)
emtff553 replied to Sparta_Prague's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I saw one tandem student pass out I think he held his breath fear or excitement I am not sure. I have not been jumping too long so I can't tell u from personal experience how often it happens, but from what I hear it does not happen too often.I suggest if everything goes well with the Doc definetly jump again you won't regret it, sounds like you really want to do it again. -
Hey all just wanted to say hello. I started skydiving last year and knew right away this was for me. I plan on getting (at the very least) my "A" license this year. I finished AFF last season it's so nice not having some one your ur back. I am open to any suggestions you might have to help me enjoy this sport to it's fullest. I look forward to ur input. Thanks
