  2. There will definitely be a void at the dropzone without your white eyes, smiliing face, and good conversation my friend. Hope to see you back sooner than later. Enjoy yourself, Bill ---------- gravity rat formula 109 Team Gonzo and Team Jamaican Me Crazy no bullshit, let's just fly, be safe, and have fun.
  3. Exactly what i've been thinking the whole time reading this. I'm not a wingsuit flier yet, but I would assume any decrease in vertical speed is going to cause an increase in horizontal speed and someone is going to go skipping and rolling like a rag doll. Obviously, if they're serious about having a plan to land it, there is something involved in the plan that we don't know about. Not one of the scenarios that people have been listing here seems plausible to make an attempt that wouldn't just be plain suicidal. Maybe I'm wrong, but simple physics keeps me believing this can't really be done anytime soon with current technology and I wouldn't like to see anyone try it just for the sake of saying "I landed the wingsuit" if there is a big chance they are not going to survive. ---------- gravity rat formula 109 Team Gonzo and Team Jamaican Me Crazy no bullshit, let's just fly, be safe, and have fun.
  4. due to the chin to shoulder length red hair, scraggly beard and mustache, from the time i walked on the dropzone i got "hippy", "jesus", "hey, you look like an apostle!", but hippy and hippybill have been what stuck. ---------- gravity rat formula 109 Team Gonzo and Team Jamaican Me Crazy no bullshit, let's just fly, be safe, and have fun.

  6. I'd have to say cuddle and spoon until round 2 comes about or you both fall asleep. Having a really long tongue also helps in the between time , i like to take care of my lady from head to toe. And not much beats a nice shower together afterwards, possibly going for the next round in there. damn I miss having sex with an intelligent, beautiful girl on a regular basis. ---------- gravity rat formula 109 Team Gonzo and Team Jamaican Me Crazy no bullshit, let's just fly, be safe, and have fun.
  7. I had a blast from the first jump thursday to the sunset sunday. Got to catch up with my old buddies from Spaceland and meet a whole lot of new faces. Thanks to Luke and Mateo for giving this semi-newb a chance on a great tracking dive with many cool people from Skydive Dallas (i'll have to get up there soon) and Deva. It was good to meet you all. Had a blast with Wyatt, Doug, and Cory on our 45 minutes after sunset/headdown/drag my ass kickin and screamin with a big smile on my face exit dive on Saturday and our tube exit Sunday. Many many thanks to Pier (flypunk) and Marco (Chivo) for taking my good friend Lauren (lew) and I for her first 4-way. Hehe, freefliers organizing RW: round, open accordian, round, ????...HORNY GORILLA! :). And thanks to Pier for paying my slot after I already spent my budget and always making sure I'm not doing solos, seeya this weekend back at home man. Good to meet you Dave, we'll see you at the AOT boogie in september man. Thanks to Trent for taking me and showing me how to do better cartwheels in my sit. Hope to see you all again soon. I'm broke. Can't wait to get back to Skydive Houston and those $15 otter loads. ---------- gravity rat formula 109 Team Gonzo and Team Jamaican Me Crazy no bullshit, let's just fly, be safe, and have fun.
  8. speaking as someone who in the last year did all my student jumps at Spaceland, but has recently moved to to SD Houston I have a few opinions to offer. The following isn't to offend anyone, I have made excellent friends at both dropzones and the staff at both are great people. First off, SDS and SDH have different student training programs, so I can't really comment on SDH's program, but I do know both dropzones have awesome instructors. The spaceland student training program may be arguably more thorough, maybe some others who have gone through AFF can comment on this, but the spaceland program is also more expensive to go through. Once I completed student training at spaceland and got about 40 jumps under my belt I decided to head over to SD Houston to check it out. I must say, I have found a new home at SDH for a few reasons. First off, the jumps are $15 for the same plane and same altitude as compared to $20 at Spaceland. There also seems to be much more opportunity for a low time jumper like myself to get pick up jumps with more experienced fun jumpers at SDH which has improved my skills tremendously in a shorter amount of jumps. As I see it this could be due to various reasons, at spaceland most of the more experienced jumpers are usually doing serious training on teams and the staff are so busy they hardly make any fun jumps. In 3 months of being a licensed jumper at spaceland I had fewer opportunities and offers to jump with people than I did in one weekend at Skydive Houston, that was probably partially my fault as well. anyway, that's my 2 cents. I like both DZ's and we're lucky enough in Houston that both of our DZs have super otters :) and I will continue to jump at both, but at the moment, for economic reasons and for the want to jump with people and not constantly be doing solos, I believe you'll be seeing me a lot more at Skydive Houston in the coming months. -Bill ---------- gravity rat formula 109 Team Gonzo and Team Jamaican Me Crazy no bullshit, let's just fly, be safe, and have fun.
