I think this is a great way to get colleges more involved in collegiate competition outside of "Collegiates."

Car stolen -- GEAR IN TRUNK
SpeedyGonzales replied to canopycandy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Reading this post made me realize I just left my rig in the trunk of my car. Better go get that. -
And you're wrong too. Yes the Yankees did win the division. However, tonight's game cannot knock Boston completely out of the playoff's. Cleveland's a game behind right now. So the only way for Boston to get knocked out of the playoffs is by a tiebreaker game tomorrow. Which only happens if Boston loses tonight and Cleveland wins. Edited to add: And in the time it took me to type that you had changed your post. I also want to make it clear that I do not want Boston in the playoffs.
-
There now I fixed it for you.
-
Yes the Yankees did lose last night. But, they're winning tonight! And Cleveland is a game back right now. If the Yankees win tonight and Cleveland loses then the Yankees definitely make the playoffs.
-
You're right, this does assume that you hate the Yankees for these reasons. His point was that most people hate the Yankees for this reason. Not that everyone hates the Yankees for this reason. You can go ahead and hate the Yankees because their from NY, that doesn't bother me. People who bother me are people who hate the Yankees because they "pay their players so much money..."
-
I agree 100%! Go Yanks!
-
Woo hoo! Yeah for the Astros. Look at their record. The Yankees are 94-65 and have the second best record in the AL. The Astros are 87-72 and have the third best record in the NL. So the Yankees pay their players more money. But, they also win more games. And the Astros have "pretty much have gotten the wildcard bid." They could still be knocked out of the playoffs, they're only 2 games up. Probably not going to happen, but whatever. So the Yanks could possibly get knocked out of the playoffs or they could win their division. Which is more than you can say for the Astros, who are 10 games back from the lead in the NL Central.

A month ago?? Are they nuts? I think that division has been tight enough that any of the top 3 or 4 teams could have been duking it out in the last week. What if neither the Sox nor Yankees made it? Well sure, flip the coin again, the fans will come and fill the stadium even with a last minute decision... That division has been a Yankees/Sox division for a while now. The third team in the division is the Blue Jays who are currently 16 games back from the Yankees. # 4 (Baltimore) is back 23. When the coin toss took place Oakland was in as well. And if Yankees and Cleveland play a tie-breaker it would be played in Cleveland. And I'm going to go against the majority of this thread and say that I am a proud Yankees fan.

I was right up in front as well, and I really think the cheers were louder for him anyways. But, had he shown some junk he definitely would have won. Although the thong didn't leave much to the imagination.

Great pics. It was nice meeting you. And J, practice up for next year. The first step is to learn how to light the lighter.

How much did it cost you to get your "A" license?
SpeedyGonzales replied to grue's topic in The Bonfire
FJC- $145 4 Static Line and first freefall- $90 6-10 - $20 each - $100 11-12- $26 each = $52 13-16- $30 each = $60 17-27- $15 each = $165 Didn't actually pay for my A so $612. Edit to add: This doesn't take into account that I was a packer during my student progression and paid for some of it that way. -
Why do people like Wings containers so much?
SpeedyGonzales replied to Newbie's topic in Gear and Rigging
I didn't mess it up, my rigger (also the dealer) ordered it to have it in time for the day the rig was supposed to be delivered. My reserve comes in tomorrow, so I'll get to jump my rig this weekend -

SpeedyGonzales replied to Newbie's topic in Gear and Rigging
I'm going to chime in here and also say that Wings customer service is GREAT! I needed my rig for a boogie Labor Day weekend and Ankie told me she'd have it overnighted 2 days before I left so that I could jump it there. Yesterday I got an e-mail from my rigger saying my rig was on his doorstep. You guys rock. Unfortunately I won't get to jump it this weekend though, because my reserve won't be in until Monday
