yeah, that's what i have been doing. clicking away like crazy, testing different settings, etc. Gone through the manual several times, but just havent taken many pictures in light conditions that are similar to those in the sky. Thanks. Dont f#%k up......

I already tried that with "Photography for Dummies" and didnt get that much out of it. besides I dont read books so well I you use Manual Focus and you're 1 foot further from or closer to your target than you set the focus for on the ground, then your shot will come out blurry right? Anyway I guess I'll just do some experimenting in the air this weekend and see what the camera can do. Dont f#%k up......

Well the screws in the mounting bracket were quite loose, tightened those, but that wasnt the problem. I ended up adding some gaffers tape to the inside of the pieces that clamp down on the plate that is attached to the camera. Picture attached. That seems to have done the trick. Lets hope it works out. Thanks for everyone's help.

Have those of you who use the Stroboframe Quick Release brackets noticed that the plate that clicks into the mount isnt completely snug when engaged? There is quite a bit of wiggle in mine. Makes me a little nervous to mount my new Digi Rebel to it. Do any of you use anything else to hold it to the helmet? Have any of you experienced this? If so, have you done something to make it more snug or has it worked fine as is? Dont f#%k up......

What problems have you found with the Kit Lens? Seems like it's plenty wide. Dont f#%k up......

What if I told you that the Digi Rebel is the first camera I have ever had that you can adjust settings on? ;-) Dont f#%k up......

But I'm curious as to what settings you all shoot with. Shutter speeds, Aperture settings, modes, etc? I'm assuming you're using the Manual modes as you can only shoot RAW pics with those. Anyway, any input you can give as to what works and what doesnt would be most appreciated. Eloy's a comin', Watch OUT! Dont f#%k up......

Great pics ltdiver. What camera and lens are you using? I think it's pretty clear that the Stereo plug is the best option for overall performance. I just got my Digi Rebe, Stroboframe bracket and I'm going to get my tongue switch just in time for the holiday boogie. see all you crazy bastards there! Dont f#%k up......

Hey for those of you who have used the Laserlink feature they used to have on Sony's. Why in the world did they stop making them with that? What a cool feature. You dont have to use any wires to play your footage on a Tv. Just point it at the receiver. My current PC 110 has it, but I'm sure gonna miss it when I upgrade to a newer model. Anyone know why they discontinued this feature in thir cams? Dont f#%k up......

35mm camera advertised in Parachutist?
Krishan replied to tandemking's topic in Photography and Video
Skydance Photography, I believe. I cant find their contact info, but look in parachutist, they have an add in there every month. Dont f#%k up...... -
Practice, practice, practice man. That's what it takes. Be aggressive, yet careful. YOu want to get as close as you can without colliding with them. Get under them without taking their air. Before you know if you'll be getting the "money shot" without even thinking about it.

Sighting the Concentric Ring Sight using a Mirror
Krishan replied to quade's topic in Photography and Video
Hey Quade thanks for doing this. I just thought of something. Say you completely loosen your sight. Using this method, how do you know if the sight will even end up in front of your eye, if you're not wearing the helmet? I'm guessing this if more for precision sighting once it has already been tightened down or for checking the accuracy of the sight, no? Dont f#%k up...... -
you mean a one piece thing? My bonehead rachet chin cup is plenty solid. Dont f#%k up......

I film tandems all the time with my optik. I've got a side mounted video camera. I have not yet mounted a still on top, but I fully plan to. It's worked great for everything I've needed it to so far.

For all of you who film tandems out of Cessna's; How do you avoid excessive horizontal seperation from the tandem on exit? What techniques to you use? Do you exit the regular way, head up looking back up at them? I've been thinking of trying a new way. As soon as I leave I could go to my back looking up at the tandem, only presenting my head to the wind. Seems that would solve the problem of getting blown away from them. Then I could use my wings to get back up easily. anyway, any input would be great. blues....... Dont f#%k up......

Hey, anyone out there know how much to weight a tennis ball for freeflying speeds? Is there a published weight range somewhere? Also what's the best stuff to fill it with? Reason I'm asking, is we are fortunate enough to have our landing area away from the airport and any population. Where we jump the only thing for it to hit should it not be retrieved at the end of the jump is tumbleweeds and dust. So this add's some real fun to our skydives. We tried to guess the weight a few times and made one way to light for belly flying, it just floated right up and we lost that one. We did end up getting the weight right for belly flying speeds eventually, now its time for a freefly ball. Any help would be most appreciated. blues... Dont f#%k up......

I jumped a quasar ll once. I wasnt too thrilled about it. Design, Fit, Flap Securage, etc. Then again I'm used to a Mirage G3, so I'm a gear snob now.

Is Your Hand Deploy Pilot Chute Correctly Made?
Krishan replied to billbooth's topic in Gear and Rigging
Well I got my pilot chute back from Mirage today. Or I should say I got a brand spankin new pilot chute back with only my old hackey handle, everything else brand new, free of charge. It is a little bigger 28" zp i think and the tape is sown correctly on the mesh, to prevent stretching. I got kick ass customer service from Mirage. They rock.
