Flight hours are compensation. The private pilot must pay an equal share (pro rata) of the expenses.

why wouldn't this fall under the "pro-rata" expenses reg for private pilots?

Agreed that the profit on a one off RSL is well under $10 when all is said and done, but the shackle is worth quite a bit more than $3.00 it's self. possibly i am missing something here, how is it a one-off when i have an off-the-shelf container and riser(s)?

am i miss-reading something? i just looked at the rigging inovations site to get a replacement rsl for my talon1. is it really $50 for a fabric line and a shackle? eh...hope someone can shed some light.

ok, finding no STC listed. i have a 150, and there is no mention in the poh either way. do i need an stc to take the doors off tomorrow and go fly?

the "im going flying and my buddy wants a hopnpop" emergency. never flown a jumper so i don't know, but it seems a little positive pressure in the cabin might hold the door open.?

does the pilot holding his window open while in the slip create enough positive pressure to hold the door open? (for emergency knowledge of course:) )
