This post was about the artwork one man created. I don't recall the orginal poster bringing anything else into it, but just that. You might want to take your above post to the Speakers Corner, and then I might be willing to discuss your remarks further with you.

This has got to be a joke. A special security task involving firing at civilians. I guess it is unknown if someone of "imporant :enemy: stature" was around the area at the time, but still...

Exactly (Agreed), I think one good thing came out of Katrina...it made a lot of people realize that the Govn't will not always be there for you. It's something that American's have taken for granted for years... Yup..once again agreed..but then again, what fun would that be? Don't we have to complicate everything to make it more 'media' worthy?

HAHAHHAA!!! No crap, right! What I love is how US Citizens have obviously - somewhere down the path - lost sight of fending for themselves and always need a scapegoat. What I absolutely loved reading was an article the other day where the Mayor of Galveston stated that you should prepare to "FEND FOR YOURSELF" and not rely on the Government for this approaching hurricane. Evacuate when TOLD to do so, and not after it's too late. It's about time Americans start remembering how to take care of themselves and stop looking for someone to point blame on when they realize how dependant they are upon their government. *Edited to add: The city is preparing to help those without transportation to get out. They are thinking ahead and doing all they can to make sure everyone is safe. The Governor was just stating basically to use the options given to them when the time comes instead of trying to wade it out and then get upset when they are stranded.

hehe...fo' sho' Not to get too far into analyzing, but that is an awesome painting to point out one of the symbols he uses throughout a lot of his work...The tigers actually go far to represent lust / desire / sexuality..animal instinct. If you study more of his art you will find that he uses them quite frequently. Another interesting symbol he seems to use quite a bit is the woman kneeling/bowing to man...a lot of times the man will have a hat in his hand holding it down around his 'nether' region...this has been said to represent the covering of an erection from the female - as if to hide his arousal. This in turn shows how Dali wanted the partner (woman) seen as the "Praying Mantis sort --if she notices the male's arousal, she will mate with him and then cannibalize him." *Looking for examples... If anyone needs a couch to crash on away from the Gulf I have one available, as well as some floor room..just bring a blanket/pillow. Those of you who live out at Spaceland know how to get ahold to me (Either PM or call my cell)...If you are told to head inland...feel free to head my way.

I know that if I was in the same position as a lot of NO residents have found themselves - having everything taken away so quickly - the first thing on my mind would be naked women and beer as well. *sarcasm*

They only put up 1st-3rd overall, accuracy, distance, speed...It doesn't show the break down of all competitors over all. Look close towards the bottom of the page, Chris...sheesh! -

Was there ever a doubt? Chris...shut your pie hole! Also, I wanted to add one more thing: Thanks to Trent for organizing some really awesome and challenging dives (ok..maybe just challenging for me). I really learned a lot and appreciate him giving me the chance to fly....from the 2-way sit base, to giving the exit count on the tracking dive...it all rocked! THANK YOU!!!
