What ya got on muh crack pipe?! - ONLY in Houston...SHEESH!
Amanduh replied to Amanduh's topic in The Bonfire
This is pretty funny. Yesterday there was a police chase here in Houston, and while the guys were being chased they were SMOKING A CRACK PIPE hahahaha Gotta love this town ABC13 Eyewitness News (02/08/05 - HOUSTON) Local police got their man after a long, winding high-speed chase through northern Houston. That high-speed chase lasted for nearly an hour as the driver weaved his way through Houston's side streets and neighborhood roads. For 45 minutes, the unidentified suspect kept police at bay, flying through the streets of city neighborhoods, striking at least four vehicles during the course of the chase. What concerned investigators most is what they saw him doing behind the wheel. "When he's driving, I can see him from the side view mirror that he's lighting up the crack pipe and he's smoking the pipe, which I did recover," said Officer Ricardo Rojas-Garcia with the Houston Police Department. The trouble started at around Main and Hogan. A patrolman running radar, according to police, went to pull the suspect over for speeding. He nearly ran the cop over instead. At one point, the passenger inside the fleeing vehicle bailed out and was taken into custody. Though it appears police could have stopped the chase sooner, the officers involved defended their actions and their decision to allow it to go on as long as it did. "When he would see a car, a civilian out here in the way, he would kind of gun the vehicle at it," said Officer Rojas-Garcia. "So he wasn't going to stop for anybody." The chase ended near Tidwell near Arlington when a delivery truck unknowingly helped police box in the white pickup. "I didn't do it to stop him from going anywhere or anything like that," said Brock Irvin, who was driving the delivery truck. "It was just the luck of the draw. He had no way to go to the right. He had to cut back to the left and that's when the police officer rammed him and stopped him." The driver of the pickup has been charged with possession of crack cocaine, felony evading arrest, and a charge of aggravated assault on a peace officer is now pending. While watching the chase in progress, you may have been wondering why the police didn't try to use their own cars to end the chase. According to HPD policy, there are only three acceptable ways to end a pursuit. *Standard roadblocks, using barricades or other obstructions to stop the vehicle being chased. *Rolling roadblocks, putting moving police units in front and behind of the vehicle, and slowing to a stop. *Deflation devices, which can punch holes in the suspect's tires. -
Unfortuantely, I have had this curse ever since I was 21. If it is ANYTHING but beer, you can just assume you'll find me passed out behind a tree or in a bush somewhere...So please...Someone be nice and cover me up with a blanket and make sure I'm warm if you ever stumble across me..

I just must state nowthat I was seriously just joking in the above post. If this is really something that you feel strongly about, I apologize.

I agree. I know I cannot jump as often as I would like to, but I cherish EVERY skydive I have made with EVERY single person. Each one was (is) special to me. It is definately something beautiful that we all share.

I haven't..but this does bring up something funny to me. My MOM. Yeah..that woman seriously has issues. I take her out, only to end up being HER designated driver...yeah yeah...anyways. Point being she has this bad habbit when she gets drunk of grabbing ass. For instance, a guy (total stranger) will walk by us, she'll grab his ass..he'll look..and she'll point at me all innocently. The guy then will look at me like "Well, hello there..." GRRRR It's so annoying!!!!! I will just look at her usually and say "no you didn't do it again did you, mom?" And she gets this drunken giggle and like a little kid goes "hehehe yes" Sheesh, women.

Congrats..but I have a question. I know on my phone that if I set it when typing a text message to T9Word, all I have to do is hit the button once. If I need to wright 'you' I hit you. It automatically displays the most common word used when that combination of buttons is hit in a row. If it is not the right word, i hit next. Is this about the same? *edited for grammar

What's your skydiving goal this year?
Amanduh replied to tetra316's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I agree. -
I have a new '04 Volkswagen Jetta 1.8L Turbo..it's SO MUCH FUN! I love this freaking car!!!! They are great little cars...get awesome gas mileage..not as many mpg than the diesel mentioned above, but definately awesome! I have no complaints :-)

Congrats! And yes, LOL, I found it A LOT easier to land the parachute when I was starting out with some wind. I'm still figuring it out!!! One awesome skydiver I know gave me the best advice, might sound simple..but just CONTINUE to fly your canopy throughout the entire flare.. It's weird, but I actually started to FEEL the flare after a while (like she said I would), and landings have been a lot better since then. (When she told me that I told her, YEAH! If it was ONLY that EASY!). *Disclaimer: I am NOT an experienced skydiver; therefore, please take the above with a grain of salt. Do not change up anything your instructors have taught you! :-)
