Just got my Sabre2 107....what a blast! Definitely surfable/swoopable when you want to, and with an amazing speed range. Beautiful openings (approx. 500'-600' snivel) and on heading too! Wasn't used to that with my Sabre 120. Demo one if you can - you won't look back. My hat's off to PD for this one.

I was at the JOTP boogie at Perris toward the end of January and had the oportunity to demo a Sabre 2. I normally fly a Sabre 120, so I decided to demo the Sabre 2 120. Needless to say, I was (and still am) extremely impressed. Very stable, quick to respond, incredible speed range. I had an absolute blast flying this canopy. For something that was the same size as my own, I was able to get a lot more swoop distance than the ol' Sabre. Fly the hell out of it! It'll keep giving you more. Many people have said that the Sabre 2 is simply PD's semi-eliptical answer to the Icarus Saffire....they couldn't be further from the truth. There's no comparison. My hat's off to PD for this one, it's NOT like any other. I wing load my Sabre 120 at approx. 1.5 - 1.6, so I plan to downsize to a Sabre 2 107 and finalize my non-crossbraced downsizing venture for a while (My next venture will be to a crossbraced eliptical - probably a Velocity). But in the mean-time, I'm gonna have a total blast with my new Sabre 2!!!

I own a Sabre 120 - tons of fun to fly on the risers as well as toggles. It's got a steeper glide slope than some, but actually very forgiving as long as you fly it using your brain. Had one extremely hard opening (due to some losse line stows). I now simply replace the rubber bands VERY OFTEN. Haven't had a problem since with it. Definitely a speedy little canopy, as well as pretty "swoopy" for a square. I weight 165 lbs out the door, so the wing loading isn't too bad. Just fly your Sabre with some respect and you'll have a lot of fun with it.

Excellent dropzone for anyone. Jumping out of the Beech 18 is a blast. These guys have one of the fastest climbing C-182's around. Very personable staff, as well as very knowledgeable rigger (Mike). These folks will accomodate just about every whim you can throw at 'em.
