VERY, very, difficult.. If you liked the metallica cover, check out "plays metallica by four cellos". The latest album is called "Reflections". It is more metal, more drums, I think this is the best so far. You should also consider "Cult" (2001), that one has less drums, more classical. If you want to listen to one of the albums, I'll say "Reflections". But trust me, they are all very different!

actually they have released four albums.

Ummm....the real thing being????? Skydiving?
-
Actually it IS apocalyptica, they are finnish, not norwegian. Their music is really cool, they've made lots of covers, but their two latest albums are mostly self-written. check it out! PM me if you need any details!

ok thanks for the info guys. I got 4 kb/sec yesterday and thought maybe something was wrong. The site is soo great, thanks Matt and pilotdave and all the uploaders!

I've never been explained exactly how the freebag works. They've told me that the main purpose is to prevent an entanglement, but can anyone explain how it is ment to work? Pictures? At my home dz all student rigs have round reserves.. maybe that's why i don't know much about the freebag system

Luigi Cani reportedly landed an Icarus VX 39
addicted replied to mjasantos's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
WOW. that was totally awesome! Flying next to the wingsuit guy.. and the landing... I'm shocked anyone able to make a short summary in english? -
Yes, safety is my #1 concern when it comes to altimeters. I can always get another one if it breaks, but i don't want a situation where I pull low and may cause an entanglement because of wrong altitude measures. I'll talk to some people at my DZ, but thanks to all of you for giving me your point of views. Now, MUST GET MY A SOON!

How many jumps before camera flying?
addicted replied to NoRules's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
what happened? any past posts on it? -
I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at, cause the dealer's site doesn't mention what kind of Alti-III this is... as i understand there are several Alti-III models, and Galaxy is probably the cheapest one? Those problems with the FT-50 you refer to, what kind of issues are they? I don't want my brand new altimeter to show 5' when I'm at 3' and its time to dump..
-
I've done some searches here at dz.com, but I haven't found much info about the FT-50 altimeter. When you compare prices between the FT-50 and for example Altimaster2, the difference is great. Is the Altimaster worth twice as much as the FT-50 for "normal" skydiving use? I'll soon get my A (hopefully) and I don't want to spend all my money on altimeters I'm a bit confused, help will be appreciated

Luigi Cani reportedly landed an Icarus VX 39
addicted replied to mjasantos's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
strange they don't post any video from the event.. -
just curious.. how is it possible to do BASEjumping or skydiving when you're in a wheelchair? exit, tracking and landing must be really difficult. how does he do it? or did i just misunderstand the whole thing?
-
does anyone know what song that one from jeb_demo_big.wmv is? REALLY awesome. SICK!
-
thanks for helping all of you. i find it very strange that safety isn't #1 priority for the people that make AND the people that buy helmets... I think i'll get a Protec for myself! (btw, what is R&D?)
-
I'm thinking of buying my own helmet, and then i started wondering: Has the price anything to do with safety? What would you consider a cheap and safe helmet for a newbie?

Odds ofmalfunction/cutaway on first jump?
addicted replied to freeasabird's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I know this is a strange question, but anyway: If the odds for a normal cutaway are like 1:600, what will the odds be for a main (or reserve) carefully packed by a rigger having a malfunction? I think reserve mal's must be extremely rare.. is it just me? -
My family swears I'll kill myself if I continue...
addicted replied to rokitmom's topic in Introductions and Greets
I had some of the same problems.. do a few jumps, they will see that you survive them. If they dare, you may take them with you to the dropzone one day, maybe they don't have a clue what skydiving is about. Good luck on your skydiving career, you'll love it!
