  1. Yup, you need one....there is always performance to gain on any type and size of chute. Cheap mans option besides the larger grommet is a bungee collapsible. Get your rigger to do one, should cost is about 10$, gain same as killine.....but watch those hops 'n pops!!!! chris How would you like to stick with me how much do you love to freefall
  2. take a look in the fatalities page: http://www.skydivenet.com/fatalities/fatalities_nonus_01.html Check out nr 8. It is suspected this accident was caused cause of legstraps/harness being too loose. He was found with severe injuries to his throat. There some other rumours about this one too but will not present those, cause they are rumours. Stay safe. chris "but hunny, I'll be away from my chute 5 weeks too..." -chris

Being way off US turf and time and desperate to talk to someone, things is not always easy.... So help me out here, where can i go.....? chris "but hunny, I'll be away from my chute 5 weeks too..." -chris
  7. Have got meself a new main, and I thought that other people should see it in my profiles, so I changed it and typed in the size of it. But now you can only see the size of the canopy, not what type it is. It's a BT, btw. And it's the sweeeetest canopy eeever built
  8. ...nothin' better than swooping the snow.... and the best gloves you can get is essential! chris "but hunny, I'll be away from my chute 5 weeks too..." -chris

  11. "You're a skydiver if your reply to the g/f when she moans about what to do the last weekend you're home before you go away for 5 weeks, when you want to jump, and she wants to be home and do "things" :...but hunny, I'll be away from my chute 5 weeks too...." DOH... chris "but hunny, I'll be away from my chute 5 weeks too..." -chris
  12. ...But stows that are too long can also lead to issues! When you put the bag back in the container, especially when you spin it around, it is possible to insert one stow into the loop of another stow if they are too long, and then you packed yourself a baglock malfunction. Just my thoughts.... chris "but hunny, I'll be away from my chute 5 weeks too..." -chris
  13. Actually, when you pull a toggle down, you increase lift on that side, but when you increase the lift you also increase the drag of the canopy on that side, and that makes it turn. The more you pull on the toggles, the more lift and drag you will get at the expense of airspeed. And when you run out of sufficient airspeed to keep the canopy flying, you will lose lift. That hurts. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, safe swoops.... chris "but hunny, I'll be away from my chute 5 weeks too..." -chris

  20. Yup, we had a good discussion about it. I jump with one and the only problem I had with it was that the knot that held the bungee became undone once, so the PC did'nt collaps on that jump. If something breaks(cord, knot, stitching) the pc will still function as it used to before the mod. Only concern is when you do hops 'n pops....you need a certain speed for the PC to inflate, and if you do really low jumps you may not have that speed on pull time, but just undo the cord and you have your normal PC for hops 'n pops. My personal harddeck if I jump with it is 900m, emergency jump 750m, under that I use my reserve. Some guys at my DZ tested at what speed the PC became inflated and towed it from a car....at 60 Km/h (40MPH) the PC inflated and nearly pulled the guy out of the window.... But it all depends how hard you set the bungee. I put mine on the softest setting and increased it to a harder setting with 2 cm each jump....took me 6 jumps to get the PC to collaps

  25. Go for grey...it looks really good, or maybe silver. I've had my hair in both colours, really like both of 'em. Also tried red, blonde, brown but none of them made me feel so good as the grey or silver! But it is a pain to do...have to bleach down to white first, then go for grey... chris How would you like too stick with me How much do you love to freefall
