Too much beer! I jumped with Leroy at the 82nd club in the early 80s. He left for the Ranger Bn. and then returned to Ft. Bragg in '85. That's the last I saw him. I went off to Germany at the end of '85. I remember he was a pretty mellow guy. He videoed the first jumpers POV malfuntion I ever saw. He was wearing an old style chest mounted video deck out at Raeford when he videoed his own cutaway on an 82nd team rig. ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!

Hearn, Texas! I saw my first skydiving in Hearn when I was 17 during the summer of '80. If you drove past the airport, my Uncle's house was the first on the right hand side. Nice little white house with a detached garage. I remember spending the summer of '80 there and watching the people open. Sometimes over us. I thought, "I want to try that!" A year and a half later, I was Army Airborne and learning to skydive! ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!! -
It always amazes me what a guy will do for a little pussy. My feline boss is over 17 years old! She's wandered the world with me. She's even been to places I haven't (after getting lost by the airlines)! BTW, nice pussy! ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!

Right now, I'm standing in a country that was a dictatorship 25 years ago. I've lived here for 4.5 years and have really seen some dramatic changes. It now has the 11th or 12th largest economy in the world. You should get out more My reality is based on years of international travel and living in various countries. Oh yeah, and all those travels managed to cure some of the strange thoughts I had during 11 years of university. I'm not quite the idealist I once was. Reality bites! ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!

Oh, get real! Except for Europe & N, America, with whom would you have me compare? (ok, throw in NZ & AU). If you want a utopia, go back to the books! As I said before, this world is not perfect. Eliminate poverty, prostitution, homelessness (sp), and all the other problems with any society. You're kidding, right? The 'western" democracies aren't the best, but they're the best thing to happen to women in history. At least you filled out your profile. What are you thinking of doing is a legitimate question. I (I'm sure a lot of people) would suggest tactfully finding the experienced BASE jumpers at your home DZ and have a good long talk with them before undertaking anything seroius. When I jumped at Lakewood, NJ in the ealy 80's, Joey D. and Bob Young, the owners, introduced to me a guy that went in under a streamering round. He impacted down the side of a sand dune in the giant 1800' foot sand bowl that was the landing area. Knocked unconscious with a headache but otherwise okay and continued to jump. Anyone else hear this one? ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!

A few years ago, a group of us sang the "HIM" in the middle of Houston Intercontinental Airport at the top of our lungs. A good CRW buddy of ours, Mark, was heading off the to the middle east for a job. As he was about to enter the gate, we started with our usual warning hum - a long humming "HIMmmmmmmmmm." We got a lot more smiles than frowns from the "audience."

Our biggest mystery around the house has been a series of missing dishes! Suddenly, the set of 4 matching bowls is 3. Various other dishes missing. We think our 2 year old twins might be able to solve this mystery, if they could speak! ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!

Joe, (& Jennifer) this is sad. After this, what should we do? The next time there's a fatality at the DZ, do we check with manifest to see if there was a non-skydiver on the plane. If so, should we then all grab a student rig and through it in our trunks?! At many DZs. the student rigs are leased or legally separated from the DZO. But, if a lawyer files suit, it would still be months before ownership is sorted out and the rigs returned/released. Jennifer, I'm stuck over here in S. Korea. I don't practice in the States, but I did graduate law school. I wish I could help you guys *&%$ this parasite. PM sent ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!

Dusty, before dealing with the "Ect," lets review some constants in life. One of them is, "He who has the most money (that's upgraded from marbles) gets to make the rules." The guy who went really, really high had a lot of marbles (in adult speak, that equals BALLS) and government backing (that equals money, funny how things change but everything's the same ). So, with Uncle Sams' money he got access to the ultimate Xbox (check Dusty's profile). They let him play a lot and eventually he won!! He went really, really high and fell really, really long. I won't bore you with the details because you nailed it right up front.
