  1. If you can stand the heat, the Mayan Riviera in Mexico is beautiful, interesting and affordable...Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, and yes...Cancun. "I poop too much...and then I get tired." -Beavis
  2. If you've got a laptop, I reccomend getting a wireless router. That way you can surf the internet, watch Oprah, and eat frosted flakes all at the same time. "I poop too much...and then I get tired." -Beavis
  3. I need some deodorant advise. I am currently using a gel, but I have been thinking about a change. Any suggestions? "I poop too much...and then I get tired." -Beavis
  4. This reminds me of that movie The Great Outdoors with John Candy and Dan Akroyd. Remember when he shoots that bear in the ass? "I poop too much...and then I get tired." -Beavis
  5. Supposed to be beautiful there. I think it's where they shot the end of Shawshank.
  6. Started my own special "Fat Ass" diet last month. Low calories, lots of cardio, lifting 3 times a week. It sucks, but I'm starting to be able to fit into my clothes again...
  7. This is an old thread, so I thought I would try to get some new replies... My situation is exactly the same as the top post. I am looking at a J2 with a Raven 181MZ R. I want to put a Sabre 170 in it. Anyone using this combination? Too tight? "I poop too much...and then I get tired." -Beavis
  8. I'll get 'ol Beatrice a thrill... "I poop too much...and then I get tired." -Beavis
  9. Now that I have my A License, it seems like the possibilities are endless. Which is great, but now I need a little advice on where to go from here. Should I pick one discipline and stick to it, then go to others? Try a little of everything and try to advance that way? It seems like trying a little of everything may help me become a more well-rounded skydiver. I think it would be fun to mix it up too. On the other hand, focusing on FF or RW could help me get good quickly in one area...hmmmm Also, once I've decided which way or ways to go, how do I get instruction? I've heard people mention getting coached way beyond A License status. Does that mean I will be paying for instruction? My assumption is that I will be able to buddy up with whoever is around and ask if they want to jump with me, or if I can join in on a small-way. "I poop too much...and then I get tired." -Beavis
  10. Hey all, I just got the rig back this weekend from the rigger. This guy is an master rigger and also has more than 6000 jumps. He also owns an original Talon himself and does FF in it...he says I should have nothing to worry about, although tuck tabs and more velcro in the future isn't a bad idea.............. "I poop too much...and then I get tired." -Beavis
  11. Properly maintaining all the velcro on your rig will keep it safe for head-up flying, but IMNSHO Stay off your Head! As mentioned above, open riser covers can be nasty! Quote Thanks for all the great advice!!! Can you explain for me why head down could still be dangerous even with these mods? "I poop too much...and then I get tired." -Beavis
  12. Okay! I just spoke with the master rigger who has my rig right now. Apparently, there are no riser covers or tuck tabs on the system right now, making FF questionable. BUT, he is going to install the necessary modifications to make it safe. Whew!...I think I got a little lucky. "I poop too much...and then I get tired." -Beavis
  13. What about modifications? "I poop too much...and then I get tired." -Beavis
  14. I just bought my first rig, which is an old Talon. I believe the DOM is '88. The rig was owned by a rigger, was gently used, and is in excellent condition. It is off getting a cypres put in, and a reserve repack done right now. BUT...Is it FF friendly??? If not, can it be modified to be FF friendly? I plan on asking the previous owner and others at the DZ these questions, but I would appreciate any oppinions out there! I'll really be dissapointed if I can't make this rig work for what I want to do. "I poop too much...and then I get tired." -Beavis
